So expensive...I might sell them back to people who need the books next semester/term for cheap. Way expensive....
once i was on hokiday and florida, and the ligthning aed right over the house, and struck the swiming pool, lucky noone wa in ther at the time, but w had to have omeone check it was afe to go in
Real men pack up samali and go hiking in the woods when they feel an earthquake True story, I live in Toronto. Last August IIRC. 5.5
Turns out I need two other books I wasn't aware of plus a glitch in the system assigned my Composition class the wrong book....this day is awful....
I'm starting my first week as a senior in college, and it's been kind of tough. I'm taking 17 hours and I'm not sure if I can handle that many.
I just got out of my College Algebra class. I'm an idiot when it comes to the simplest of maths so I forsee much stress in my future....
So they're saying that the edge of Hurricane Irene will only hit NC's Outer Banks....aw well, I was in the mood for grey skies and rain...maybe I'll still get some...
and now,a word on th price of schoolbook from resident fluttrshy http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=ad...t=34&ndsp=24&ved=1t:429,r:15,s:34&tx=86&ty=28 she says kill them all
Ouch... I'm taking College Algebra just because I completely forgot everything due to ponies. All I have in Florida is just wind and some rain. Boo...
So, I don't feel like making an unboxing topic for this, so I'll just post it here. My Rainbow Dash T-shirt came in the mail today! I know what I'm wearing to school tomorrow!
I ordered two shirts yesterday and I'll be wearing the Rainbow Dash one to school on the 30th. I'm a proud brony! PS: I was just thinking about this. I think South Park should NOT make a brony episode. That would make a huge uproar in the community. Just saying. Sorry for the randomness
I'm looking over my options of buying a shirt or making one... But I only got a few days till highschool starts, and I wanna wear one for the first day.
being beat u at school is no laughing matter,i think w talked about that earlier in the thread, but im too lazy to look for it
Quite a few topics I can comment on here right now, let's see: - Textbooks: Fortunately for me, I only need 1 textbook for one of the five classes I'm taking this semester, so that was a money-saver. - Thunderstorms: I had a wake-up call this morning. A line of thunderstorms moved through around 6:00 AM. I overheard a student say that he saw a lightning bolt strike a building. I believe it because there were two very loud thunderclaps that seemed very close to my home (I live only five minutes away from the university). One, or maybe even both, must have been the sound of something being struck. - Fancy Issue-Muddying Mathematics: Ah. College Algebra. I remember that class. I, unfortunately, had to take it because for some reason I wasn't exempt from it. Long story short, it was a waste of time because I aced it with little or no effort. Now vector Calculus and differential equations... that's "fun" stuff (not really). Now, I'm never going to say I'm proficient at vector Calculus (or college Algebra for that matter, since it's been a while). I'm not, but I can understand it at times, while at other times I'll be totally clueless. Fortunately, for what I'm doing, I may not even need it in the end. I visited the NWS before, and a meteorologist there said, "You know all the calculus you're taking now? It is very important, but just to let you know, I haven't had to use it at all since I graduated." That was definitely reassuring, as for what I'm going for (forecasting), I don't think I'm going to need to use fancy mathematics. They muddy my thunderstorms, and I don't like that. - Hurricane Irene: Well, I don't know where you live, Zephyr, but do you know where Duck, NC is? I went on vacation there for a week in July 2009. It was great, but anyway, it appears their hurricane watch has been upgraded to a hurricane warning. Actually, the entire coast of NC is under a hurricane warning, so, depending on your proximity to the shore, you may very well indeed see something. I hope it isn't too bad where you are. I also have to worry about my family members that live by the Jersey shore and on Long Island. The Jersey shore is now under a hurricane watch. Nothing for Long Island at this time. - T-Shirt: Rapi Dash, do you, by any chance, have a picture of the shirt to show us? - Ponies on my mind again: Once again, I've got pony on the brain while in college. Only a couple cases today. While sitting on a bench waiting for the bus* I think of Lyra. Also, while I was sitting on said bench today, it started to rain a little, and I thought of the scene with Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash from "The Ticket Master" as RD kept it from raining on TS. Then I thought about the part when TS said, "No, really?" while getting rained on. *The building my classes are in is on the other end of campus away from the student parking lot, so I have to take the bus (it's free) to get there unless I want to walk for 25 minutes.
ePONY, it's that one from shirtsbyshift. But if really want a picture of the exact shirt I got I'll take one a little later. It will have to be webcam quality though since I lost some stuff. :\
