Bronydom was "baptised in the fires of 4chan", but yeah- I must agree it's internet hell. xD But it goes to show that if the fandom was able to be developed on a website such as that, there's no stopping the spread outside of it!
The thing I don't understand is that 4chan pretty much created bronies. Yet they generally hate us with a passion.
There are places that are worse than 4chan, but I tend to spend most of my time between 4chan and Reddit.
4chan is 4chan. if you don't like it, don't go on it. Its true that some of their boards are pretty messed up, but there are several boards that have interesting discussions on them. Hating on 4chan because of those boards that are messed up is just like people hating on bronies because there are some who take it too far. and yes, some people from 4chan hate ponies, but 4chan is pretty much full of bronies, its basically where pony artwork, pony gifs, and lots of the pony pics we see today are from. all im saying is that there are some horrible people on 4chan, but its not ok to judge all of them because of a minority.
It is what it is. If I was looking for a hug, I wouldn't go to 4chan. If I was looking for a serious conversation, I wouldn't go to 4chan. If I was looking to laugh at myself and all of humanity, I might go to 4chan.
I go there like 2-3 times a year for a laugh, but now we have memecenter to remind me humanity doesn't have much faith in it.
