Laydee Kaze's Swag Art! Since the main thing I do online, aside from gaming is art, I thought it would be a decent topic to start with on these forums ^^ I've been doing general digital art for well over a year, doing like, more furry kinda things, as well as sword designs and such for anime stuff, But I think I properly started drawing ponies around May this year. I did do the odd commission before, but yeah... xD I'll leave that stuff. I started working with MLP bases first, so here's a few of those... There's more over on my Deviantart page... but I wasn't too happy with the fact that I was using bases to do the bodies, even if I did re-do all the lines by hand over the top. So with a lot of trial and error I began to start working on doing all my pieces from scratch, and slowly building on creating my own art style... I think that is most of my decent ones are there... but I think the following one is my favorite, and probably my best looking piece. Spoiler tagged for blood. Is there any way I could get you to draw something to use for the song I'm finishing up? I really like your art, so it would be nice to put it with one of my pieces. Wow its awesome! But one question: Do you use a Graphic tablet, or is it all done per mouse? Sometimes your sooo accurat in the video!
I'm not too sure if I'd be able to do it x3 I've never really tried to draw Rarity before... and it's kinda hard to explain like... I don't draw as well when I'm drawing to a specification, opposed to drawing completely freely. It's sort of like, I can do commissions when I feel like drawing something different. The music piece sounds really nice though ^^ I quite enjoy the middle section, it's got a nice build up, and then a nice drop back down towards the end ^^ I use a Wacom Pen and Touch tablet :3 With the video, when I'm doing the lineart, there are settings in SAI that sort of, delay the line's reaction, so it makes it a tad easier to draw lines without them being all uneven/squiggly
Ah the Wacom Pen and Touch are great! I used it once when i was ad a friends house, i think i was a bamboo thingy And another question (hehe) how long did the drawing in the video take you? I mean without the time lapse =P
I could probably have a go at it if I get an art block or similar x3 Also, new art C: Spent 6 hours working on it today!
