For me it was like for some of you too. I watched the first episode, thinking " hm well... it was okay" but i watched the second one too because i always want to know how something goes on. And because I had hollidays and enough time I also watched the third episode and the fourth and and and at some episode my boyfriend started to watch, too because I sometimes had to laugh so hard, that he always asked "whats going on? whats so funny?", i described it and he too found it somehow interesting. Since this moment we watched like two episodes every evening, until we saw all episodes that were aired. And then we waited for the new episode, since we dont have the hub here in germany, we sat before the pc eagerly waiting for someone to stream it on youtube... =)
Actually in my opinion the slumner party episode is the only bad Rarity episode the rest of her episodes are actually very good and occasionally funny the best example of a funny Rarity episode is A Dog and Pony Show Rarity "that's not whining this is whining, ooh the harness is too tight, it's going to chafe, can't you loosen it, oh it hurts and it's so heavy, why didn't you clean it first it's going to leave a stain, the wagon's too heavy why do I have to pull it?" Diamond Dog "stop whining." Rarity "but I thought you wanted whining." OMG I love that entire quote it makes me LOL everytime I see that episode and she says that.

I have seen pieces of the older generations, so the art style right away had me hooked. It took me a bit to get into the characters, but I liked Rainbow Dash right away since she broke the mold of most characters in shows intended for girls (kind of like Buttercup in Powerpuff Girls). Plus a lot of my female friends are tomboys, so I could relate to her more.
I was surprised that a TV show could fill my heart with more love in 20 minutes than my family could in 20 years. I only wish I still felt that now.*Stares at wall and waits for season 3*
I got dared to watch it by a friend and at first I thought it was going to be like the previous generations of MLP all girly and so hard to watch you almost die, but when I watched that first episode I swear it was the most amazing 20 or so minutes of my entire life! The characters are so much better and show a lot of personality in them, now all my friends are always saying '"Are you like 5 years old or something watching My Little Pony?" I always tell them to watch it too but they refuse to watch "The most stupidest show on earth" they just don't know what they are missing out on! I never thought i'd ever love MLP again since I grew up with the older generations but Generation 4 is amazing and everyone should watch it!!! Now for season 3 :> Can't wait!! Hurry up and finish the damn thing so I can watch it D:!
The first episode I had to come back to, since my attention span doesn't fare well with two part anythings... But I'm super glad I stuck through it, I fell in love with the show pretty much from the get go. Then of course I saw Vinyl for the first time, and
I was personally not a fan of the pilot episodes. So it's good that I saw the 4th episode first. Who know's, maybe I wouldn't have even become a brony. Celestia knows.
I know how you feel the first episode I saw was Episode 25 so I didn't see the pilot episodes first either.
