I figure I might as well make my art thread. I will always post updates on this post and bump the thread when I do so. It just seems a bit more organized that way!

    Artwork
Twilight spends the night with Luna, enjoying the soft light of her moon and stars while she contemplates how there was ever a time when everypony didn't love her night. I don't ship them or anything View attachment 5853

Luna on the cusp of depression, turning to the one pony that seems to understand her. Perhaps she spent some time resisting the darkness, perhaps she tried to talk to Celestia, but in the end Luna cannot turn away from the love Nightmare Moon offers, the love she so desperately longs for.

Current Colt, or CC, is my pony OC. He isn't wearing his accessories here, but he likes to invent rather weird and useless things, sometimes even dangerous things, and dresses accordingly. Think welding goggles, front hoof glove things, etc. He'a also fairly envious of Pegasus ponies because they have such an easy time manipulating objects.

    Plushies

My most recent Plushie, Rainbow Dash. Made for a friend, who got it for his brother.

Vinyl Scratch, made shortly before RD. I hadn't quite had my pattern down yet, and as a result she's a little long and her head is off. Also her side hair isn't long enough. I'm probably going to remake this one.

Big Macintosh was my first three plushies. In this one you can see my very first large Big Mac beside the nicer Big Mac for comparison.

    Stuff!

With drawn art I don't generally take commissions. I love to do trades, so if you want to do one just ask. I also take requests from time to time, but I'm lazy and slow and being pushy about getting free art is the fastest way to not getting your request at all. For plushies I do take commissions, but I am full up right now and I need to clear out my que before I offer up commissions or anything.

My plushie pattern will be up online for free as soon as I figure out how to scan in a giant pattern. I tweaked a few things since the RD plush and the pattern is now done and ready to go. I'll update this with a link as soon as I get that pattern online :)

P.S. I'll resize all these images smaller and make them clickable to their larger cousins. Sorry, I'm used to forums allowing me to resize with BB code.

Thank you! It's no too many questions at all!

I do eyes two different ways. One way is I use thick felt and sort of build the eyes out of that, then the outlines are sort-of embroidered with my sewing machine. The other way I do it is by printing on treated fabric. I like this method more because I can have gradients and varying colors that I can't get with the felt. I'm working on Rarity right now and she's going to have those type of eyes, so hopefully that'll be up soon :)

Vinyl is made from a lower quality double sided minky. It feels pretty soft, but it's no where near as soft as Minky cuddle 3, which is what I will be using from now on. Again that'll be on the Rarity I'm working on now.

How do you Print on it? I mean with what? =D

And how much time does one plushie take you?

And im looking forward to rarity =)

You have to buy this stuff called Bubble Jet Set and treat cotten fabric with it. It has a bit of formaldehyde in it, just a tiny amount, and I image that somehow holds the ink to the fabric. It could be something else, I dunno. Anyway I just treat the fabric with that then iron it on to freezer paper (one side is wax, so the iron melts the wax and it sticks to the fabric) then cut it down to paper size so the printer can pull it through. Then when you let it sit and wash it you can just sew into the plushie. You can buy something called Bubble Set Rinse or something like that, but I just use gentle liquid laundry detergent and water to clean the fabric and I find that holds the ink and keeps the color the best.

One plushie takes me between two and four days, depending on how complex it is. I'm not sure how many hours that is, I have school and life while I'm making the plushies but each daily session is a good six hours or so I would say.

    Hmm...

Your style looks like a generation combination with body sizing and linework... but lovely coloring.

Good work on the plushies! I wouldn't have the time... (nor workspace...) for such things.

Thanks so much everyone! I really appreciate all the love <3 <3

It's not really a generation combination, I have zero interest in the other generations and only know what G1 looks like because an ex friend collected them. It's more my own style with a bit of MLP:FiM style mixed in.

    Thanks so much!!!!
