lots of things bother me about this fandom. mostly the not being able to search for anything without ponies showing up. If I wanted pony star wars I would have searched it, I wouldn't have been looking for centipedes expecting just centipedes. No I needed to see ponies. Also crazy uber butthurt fans, but sometimes they be lulzy.
The lack of Rarity/Trixie. Nah, I'm just kidding.XD But if their is anything that annoys me in this fandom, it's the crossover shippers {When it's not done just for lulz} and the people who constantly define themselves as "Sane fans" to the point where it looks like their saying "Lol I'm sane so I'm totally betterz then all you guiz in the fandom". And also the people in the fandom who think shippers are automaticlly creepy, I defintaly don't like them either.
I'm not trolling, I just think this fandom has been taken way too far. If it wasn't for Fluttershy I most likely wouldn't place myself anywhere near ponies and I actually like the members here it's small and not riddled with angry people.
Load up YouTube video > Look at comments > Spammed with 'LOLOL BRONYS ARE *squee!*GET MANCHILDREN'. It works both ways when it comes to rabid haters and rabid fans, really.
Um, I would also like to remind you of the website you are looking at comments on, the same site that has seen people post m__________n levels and getting their [REDACTED]s stuck in ceiling fans on videos of how to touch apples to walls...
Speaking as an Ex-furry, the only real simularitys I see between the two is the drama, but the fandom drama with the bronys is tame compared to the furry drama. And by fandom drama with this fandom, I mean stuff that actually happend, not fake crap written by a troll such as the Everfree Con drama. Another thing that annoys me in this fanbase: People who assume all or nearly all bronys are bad just because of a small but loud minority of fans who make us look bad. This does include fellow bronys. Seriously, I've been in this fandom more then long enough to know that not all or even half of us are like that. And before you say that I'm saying that half of the furry fanbase is bad: Not nessacerly, but the drama that comes from the fanbase is certainly pretty bad.
I don't mean the fandoms. I mean that anybody that calls themselves a brony is basically a furry. They pretty much like the same things. Especially the bronies that enjoy pony pr0n, it's basically feral pr0n. Furries and Bronies like the ponies/animals cause they act human. they are same. If only they'd accept it.
GUUH!!! this annoys me! That's saying that Obama is white because he is the president! I'm a brony not a furry! If i was a furry i would don a costume find some private dungeon. this thread should be closed. it's in a way attacking the fandom. It's creating drama and creating negative problems. more than i actually expected tbh. Honestly, if you aren't a brony, gtbo. so far the only non bronies in here have annoyed me or hurt me. I'm done in this thread. i'm tired of having ruined days.
obama is completly different. Someones race has nothing to do with being a furry. I think you lack knowledge of furries. Not all dress in fursuits. And to the ones that do, more power to them. I'm a furry and I don't even know a fursuit. as for attacking the fandom, this fandom has every right to be attacked. It isn't some holy fandom among fandoms. I like the "if you're not a brony GTBO" part. Really loving and tolerant.
I think it's okay, if you think about it though it is weird that males watch a show that is intend for a 7 - 8 year old female audience. But there something about it that's just....
Ya, pretty much this. I've become rather disenchanted with the fandom as of late. It isn't because I don't like the show or the community, it's just that the fandom takes everything too far, to the point of being obnoxious. Once the initial novelty wears off it becomes more and more apparent. So why do we stay here if we're not gung-ho bronies? Well, because we do still like the show even if we're not infatuated with it anymore, and because ya'll are good people. We're not trolls, we do like the show and the community, and this is a really chill place to hang out even if we aren't all about the fandom and "omg ponies yes ponify everything!" anymore. If that makes any sense to you. If it doesn't I'm not surprised, I was kinda just rambling incoherently for a bit there. But you'll get it eventually. Edit: Echo does have a point. If I remember correctly, the term "furry" has nothing to do with dressing up in a fur suit nor does it have sexual connotations. People just assume that's what it means. I forget what it actually does mean, but I suppose if I'm thinking it means what I think, we could all fall under a loose definition of "furry." I think it means you like talking animals or wish you were one...or something. I'd look it up but honestly I don't care that much.
Because people need to maintain a certain semblance of dignity. Even if they know they are just a Doritos bag in a garbage can, at least they aren't that filthy coffee filter on the bottom of the same garbage can.
Honestly, no one cares anymore. Reddit, a website that millions of people go onto, had an MLP based banner for a day thanks to a competition, and we bronies on the site had prepared the entire anti-hate arsenal for a massive influx of trolls/haters. You want to know what happened? People CONGRATULATED us, no hate, no trolls unless you seriously looked for them. It caught all of us on the site off guard, it was exactly the opposite of the reaction that was expected. Sure there still are trolls and haters, but the vast majority of people honestly don't care that we like a show that's target demographic is supposed to be pre-teen girls.
