Also, "you're", but I digress. So, has everyone read Eight Star's roleplaying rules? If not, check them out. I will be using them. I think they're more than fair. Since not everyone knew those rules before posting, like, a million pages of chatter, I'm going to let that go this time. On that note, don't expect me to post until sometime tomorrow (Monday). I might post today...maybe. I don't knwo yet. I have to archive binge and make sure I get everything right.
Aye aye! I look forwards to it. Especially as Luna's been in the same room as a pony that's been slating her.
Important rules/info regarding Sleep: One cannot go without sleep for too long. Sleep deprivation can cause: aching muscles confusion, memory lapses or loss depression hallucinations hoof tremors headaches malaise sensitivity to cold bloodshot eyes periorbital puffiness, commonly known as "bags under eyes" or eye bags increased blood pressure increased stress hormone levels irritability nystagmus (rapid involuntary rhythmic eye movement) temper tantrums in foals yawning As well as symptoms similar to: Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) Psychosis And then there's Fatal Familial Insomnia, in which you stop sleeping entirely, then die. (This is genetic, and won't play a role in this RP) As a counter to this, Sleep is possible within the scope of the RP. There's always Microspleep, which comes without warning (I'll secretly roll a 10-sided die to determine who, if anyone goes into microsleep at any given time). In Microsleep, the victim will temporarily nod off then reawaken a very short time later (usually within the same post that it occurs). Constella can send brief messages during this time, but she can't turn you into a Walking Nightmare. Since we're on the subject of Walking Nightmares, Constella cannot turn someone into a Walking Nightmare unless they've been asleep for more than 3 hours. I think that that's all I wanted to say at the moment. Rock a bye baby In the treetop When the wind blows The cradle will rock When the baugh breaks The cradle will fall And down will come baby Cradle and all.
Exactly. They have to be dreaming in order for her to possess them. You'll see more when you meet the previous adventurers.
I should probably make it a bit more clear, but when the words are in all italics, it means she's thinking it. Unless you're some kind of wizard, you shouldn't be able to hear her thoughts. EDIT: Luna also only sent the thoughts to Sunshine and Rashall, how would Steel know Rashall was her appointed protector?
And there you have it. Please edit your post, Cobra. - - Auto Merge - - A Note on casting spells Hello, everypony! I hope you are all liking the RP so far. A lot of work has been put into it. *adjusts glasses* Anyway, I'd like to take the time to dissemenate some information regarding casting spells and casting spells on multiple targets, since Intrude Cranuim did so earlier. It's fairly simple, actually. The formula for casting a spell is like this: (1d20 + Mind = Result) This is for general spellcasting and can be used in pretty much any situation, such as Levitation, Telepathy, or Creating Fire. Now, if you're casting your primary spell (remember, for me it's Animate Earth), you get +1 to your roll. Let's say I'm going to try open that book over there using my magic. I would roll: (1d20 + Mind + 1 = Result) Now, if you have a particular spell set as a skill (remember, I have Levitation as a skill) you get an additional +1 to your roll. Watch me levitate the book I just opened: (1d20 + Mind + 1 + 1 = Result) Now, multiple targets are a little harder. For each target you wish to cast a spell upon, you lose one point. For instance, I'm going to try levitating those 4 books over there: (1d20 + Mind + 1 + 1 - 4 = Result) Whew! That was quite a bit harder! No matter the size of the object you try casting a spell upon, you will only lose 1 point for each object you try to affect simultaneously. Just keep in mind that if you try to cast a spell on an unwilling target (like, say, Levitating an angry badger) you would have to roll against its relevant Attribute. (For instance, Levitating a badger would requite you to roll against its Body Attribute) You want me to levitate an angry badger, don't you? *sigh* Fine. *grr! snarl!* C'mon, little badger... Quill Inkwell: 7 + 3 + 1 + 1 = 12 Angry Badger: 16 + 1 = 17 Result: Failure *GRR! SNARL!* I hope you're happy. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have an angry badger to placate. Until next time! (Note: Intrude didn't have points taken off her roll because she rolled a Natural 20.)
Quill! Have you seen Honey? She escaped her- oh... ... I'll take that back now. Just noticed; wouldn't animate animal be what you'd need to gain +1 from your skill for levitating the badger? Maybe I'm being picky.
Just for reference, this is what the Elements of Harmony look like. I'm sure that you all learned about these as foals. Why did I post this? Because it's going to be important very soon. ---------- EDIT: BWAHAHAHAHA!!!
I am currently resisting the urge of posting again for a "Pickpear ends up crying" scene. Seeing as there's like... three of us posted since you, Quill. :derpe:
Ok, just to make things more clear. There are two kinds of ponies present here (besides you guys). 1) The Windigoes. They are always there since this is their homeland. They caused the snow and are drawn to conflict. They are incapable of speech beyond howling. 2) The Walking Nightmares. These are regular ponies under Constella's control. They can speak, but it's hard to tell if they're speaking on their own or if Constella is commanding them. They are dreaming, even when their eyes are open. It's possible to wake them, but you have to figure out how for yourselves. Steel Heart is speaking to a Walking Nightmare. Your characters are surrounded by 4 Walking Nightmares. The Windigoes are hanging back, but they are a bit closer to you than they were before the Walking Nightmare decided to try fighting with you. Just need to edit that, Cobra.
