(Quote took from Equestria Daily) Maybe that may be the reason of why Season 3 have only 13 episodes, A MOVIE! what do you think? Original Link: http://www.equestriadaily.com/2012/09/friendship-is-magic-movie-on-horizon.html P.S: For those who are complaining that this DVD is a collection of 3 episodes with 22 minutes length, remember that is 1x66, this means 1 episode with 66 minutes length. End of the story.
I wouldn't get my hopes up on pure speculation. Though it would be neat and well received by the brony community, this more than likely ain't it.
I dunno if I want a movie yet. Shows always change after a movie. More often than not for the worse. I hope it's not.
Yeah. When movies are made it's always hard to keep them in continuity with the series, so often the series will change for the movie.
Or maybe they can make a movie based on an alternate reality, or if you want to call it in another way in another dimension
well, that' really depends. That could also be a 3 part episode that could be piled up into a movie (like A Canterlot Wedding was basically 44 min mlp:fim movie). We'll see what HUB has to say.
I wouldn't mind an MLP movie. Just as long as it comes out to bridge the gap between seasons 3 and 4, cause god knows waiting for season 3 has been dreadful. :derpe:

The season is only 13 epsidoes since all new seasons of ANY show start that long. Once a season ends, the network either leaves it or orders 13 more. If those are succesful, the season will be longer. A great example would be the new Futurama seasons. Season 6A finished airing last year, and season6B finished airing this year-both 13 episodes long, both realeased in separte dvds. It's just a basic network thing~ A movie for FIM is likely to come eventully though, as the old MLP gens had a fair amount of dvd movies.
I think a movie would be nice, but it probably wouldn't be great. It would probably just be a rejected idea for season 3 pilot or something that they extended by 20 mins and called it a movie.
