    I'm on my phone right now but I'll post my reasons behind this when I get home. Cause it's uber annoying to type long things on this tiny keyboard.

    I don't think we necessarily equal each other, but we do have many similarities. Art types/styles, wearing pony fursuits is getting to be a common theme at conventions, a huge abundance of creativity within the fandoms. However since we gather together for our interest from the MLP show, I feel we are different in what the fandoms base themselves off of, and then branch out to (if that makes sense). Our communities are similar on the surface, but branch out a bit differently when you do a side-by-side comparison.

    Anyway that's what I think. It'll be interesting to see how you guys see it.

    In a few ways:
    Both creative
    Both cosplay
    Both have huge fan bases
    Both have original characters popping out of ground like weeds. And some of them are annoying. Like weeds.
    Both alot of the greater artists are classified in the section I probably shouldn't even be referencing.

    Probably more, probably less, I don't know.

    Do Bronies=Furries? I honestly can't say no.

    This I guess is kinda one of those "Yes, but no." kinda things. But I am currently too tired to elaborate.

    "Bronies = Furries" would imply that ever single aspect is shared between them, thus would probably causing having two names for the same thing redundant.

    I admit I'm subtly part of both in my own right, so it being the same thing doesn't effect me as much as those who appose the notion of them being the same.

    They their close similarities, I would probably call bronies a branch, or a sub-class of furries, with their own unique twist, that is, specifically enjoying MLP:FiM.

    I don't know, I'm just toying with the labels.

    I imagine you mean we're a branch of furries, right?

    I agree with this.

    I'm sorry when did I say "you must thing this way" when did I say "you have to think this way".

    well come on, point it out. I'll wait *waits*

    times up sweetheart.

    I never said that. I said to discuss it. They are so simililar, sure maybe not exact, but Bronies are little more then a sub group of furries. I'll give my reasons when I get home. I'm sorry you don't like my opinion. If you really wanted to you could have ignored my thread. But you didn't. Don't get made at me for coming here of your own free will.

    I'm on Echo's side.

    And bronies aren't furries.

    I say sub group now. Like scalies or is it scaleies. I don't know how they spell it.

    Echo, if the quoted post has been edited, it's generally good practice, not to mention good manners, to change the quote too.

    Indeed. Derp'd.
    Fixt.

    Anyway. This Venn Diagram shows my views, with Echo's example of scalies:
    F = Furries;
    S = Scalies;
    B = Bronies;

    So to put it into words, what might be a more accurate way to describe it is Bronies are a branch, while (comparatively) scalies are a sub group.
