Does the brony fandom annoy you in any way?

Rarit E. I like you alot. You're a good guy. But I'm gonna be honest, I don't like you as a mod at all. If people wanna have a debate, let them debate. We may be bronies, but do we have to like one another's opinion? I'll tolerate it, but I'm not going to pretend like everything is all peaches and cream.

Well, one over-arching theme that I've seen on this thread, and sadly I have enough exprience in finding these things out from another site.

In lack of better words, this is just becoming a big anti-fandom, ya know.... A true debate is not that, a true debate is equal on both sides, but here...Well, it's all negativity. This is just supposed to be a thread about what annoys you about the fandom, not bashing it.

 

I only really watch the show, but the artwork that people do is amazing!

 

I do get annoyed by the pony posters on youtube. someone says pony and you see hundreds of comments saying brohoof or ponies or something stupid. what also annoys me is how some bronies make spoof vids of brony haters, making them look like weed smoking lifeless morons. i guess you can say open clopper annoy me to. while i don't care if your a clopper, please keep it where its supposed to be. i don't want to be in an sfw chatroom and see two ponies going at it.

 

The most annoying thing about the fandom is little tards like you, whether you're being serious/trolling or not, you're just very damn unpleasant and ruin the experience for a lot of people who enjoy the show. You're like whisky. Enjoyable when you begin to drink it, quickly has that terrible aftertaste. The difference is I love whisky, but I despise idiots. They satisfy nothing but their own stupidity. And you don't make me drunk, either, so you're pretty much useless.

You find him unpleasant because of a little joke? Should we be serious 100% of the time? I rather like Iron, he's been a pretty cool guy on the forums.

A little joke? All I see is consitent complaining, arguing from the likes of you and a handful of others, for the sake of arguing and making it difficult for staff of the site to do their jobs and maintain some level of peace. I see members like you continuously respond to people hurtfully, with no motive, other than the fact you think your intellect is worth more than others. You expect people to consitently tolerate behaviour like this? I'm a believer of loving and tolerating those that deserve it. There's a limit to how much bull you can listen to from people. I express my annoyance and you do exactly the same, although you do it in a loud, rude and irritating way. As for me being one of those people that ruins the fandom or whatever? I'd be more inclined to believe you if you were clearly a more pleasant individual, but alas you have evidently proven to me that you aren't. You also can't pretend that you love and tolerate everything and everyone you see/know. In fact, from what I've seen, you react to a lot of innocent people in a hurtful way and make them feel like idiots. I sincerely hope that makes you feel better.

 

It's called a debate, Sinder. You don't have to nice and friendly and love everyone. We're not complaining we're demonstrating our points, but obviously, it seems mighty hard to get that into that thick skull of yours.

 

I understand what a healthy debate is. The problem is, when there's any mention of calming it down, you throw your toys out of the pram and speak out against staff kindly asking you to take it elsewhere. You become offensive, and arrogant, and I hardly think people appreciate the way you "debate". To be honest, debate is conveying ideas whilst remaining peaceful. An argument is conveying ideas and doing so forcefully and offensively without regards to others who think differently. Therefore, you argue. You're insulting the manner of debate if you think that's what you do here.

Also, I didn't say you had to be nice by loving and tolerating everyone, I made that quite clear, if you would have read my last post properly, but you were probably so blinded by your own close minded, lack of perception that you just skipped to the insult.

 

Well then, if you don't like how people post on the site, leave. No body is forcing you to stay here. Because it's apparent that you can't handle it.

 

Honestly on a thing like this i gotta say i'm half and half with the fandom...I like it's moral and most of it's members and some of them have really great talents. But they're are some areas in the fandom that are so corrupted and so poorly made, that it sometimes makes me question the true reason why this fandom exist (Is it because of ponies, or is it because people are feeling lonely and want attention.) The Fanfic section of this fandom IMO though is the worst of it all and it highly annoys me with the lack creativity that goes through it yet gets so much credit for. Cupcakes, Rainbow factory are two of the worst of all of them worst yet some of our own members think it's funny to try to force others to read such things.
All in all i'm expecting this fandom to die within the ending of Season 4 to the first 5 episodes of season 5 (If it gets that far) for these very same people shall start ripping apart the community and leaving nothing undamaged.
The very same thing happened to the Sonic fandom ironically.

 

I have handled it. In this case I've reduced myself to act like you and other problem users on the site. To run my mouth regardless of who it upsets. And of course I've been heard, but not listened to. Which I wouldn't expect people to do If I acted in such a way. I don't think I'm the only one to feel this apparant lack of a 'friendly community atmosphere'. The only problem is, people tolerate you to the point where you get away with saying hurtful, arrogant things, and still you complain about how bad/annoying/useless/dumb people on the site are. I'm pretty sure people come here ot enjoy themselves and make friends, not listen to constant, argumentative, unpleasant people complain and offend.

 

I have two things to say to that:
1. Then instead of complaining about how fanfic is so bad, why don't you go try to write one? Huh? It's not that easy? Exactly.
2. Opinion opinion opinion, I love how you just outright blatantly hate them, (given that, as a fan of grimdark fic, I do find cupcakes boring, and I have yet to read Rainbow Factory) are you actually reading what you're saying? Some people on this site just annoy me to no end because they think they're so righteous.

That statement right there was filled with nothing but arrogance btw. "What you don't like what i have to say...THEN LEAVE" Sinder is giving up constant good point while your just replying lil comments that do nothing but show arrogance and are quite considerably repetitive. You claim to 'love and tolerate' yet when someone speaks their open mind to you, you basically make it clear that if you could have your way they wouldn't be on the forums. The way i look at senior members is similar to how i look at someone when they are drunk...They can either be silly, nice, and somewhat stupid but are actually very smart...OR they can be extremely aggressive, rude, and flat out arrogant and stupid. Echoax I have nothing against you. You seem to be a pretty cool guy. But as far as Radaboy goes iv'e seen him on the forums trying to further arguments and more chaos and sometimes just flat out not listening nor caring about the mods or admins wishes.

Thank you for understanding and listening. I thought you initially raised some fair points about the creativity issue, though I can't say I agree with that entirely, you expressed your opinion in a respectable and civil way, which is admirable considering you were faced with ignorance. I think sometimes Senior members like to feel superior to younger/newer members, which would be fine if they didn't trample all over them and complain about "The good old days" like most seniors do and blame it all on the new members. Maybe they're just afraid of change, negative or positive, and they want everything to remain exactly how they want it. Unfortunately, it's an open community, and should perhaps learn to treat it as such.

 

I've got my eye on this thread.

And the only part of the fandom that annoys me are the people who say 'Love and Tolerate' everywhere they go. That is all.
