I don't like Mitt Romney. Obama seems like a good candidate when you put him next to Romney.

I miss Ron Paul. I think his ideas were rather redeeming for Republicans in these United States. It just goes to show that not all of their politicians are like Michele Bachmann or Herman Cain.

Obama is a Liberal. His policies lean towards the left. He isn't as far left-wing as many other politicians, but he is not "rightist" in terms of Liberal vs. Conservative ideals in the United States. If you were using that word to mean something else, I apologize in advance.

I would like to add something before you guys go further into disscussion about the president/possible president.Below is a summarized list of the president's powers:
Veto(Which can be overturned by Congress)
    Commander in Cheif
Judicial/Department Appiontments(Must be accepted by the Senate)

That is all the president can really do, if you guys want to blame someone for messing up America's future, look to the 535 guys sitting on Capitol Hill.

True. He's smart enough to realize how effective bribing voters is.

And...? Welfare has been around for decades, you realize that right? And I'm also very certain it was started by L.B.J. (Or i could be thinking of Social Security), a Republican president.

INCREASING the size of the Welfare state. Welfare was founded to support those unfortunate few who fell into the gutter. Obama has made it an objective to get as many people on Welfare as possible, thus making them dependent on the Dems and a nanny government. [IMG]

I honestly could bring up several sources, but I have a nasty feeling you'd smack them down as being unfounded.
The Confirmation Bias is rampant on both sides.

I actually have many sources from three sides (left, right, central) that will allow me to strike down or confirm each one. I find true, as unbiased as possible, information as I can. Yes, it is difficult and a lot of searching, but it is for the best.

Maybe. In any case, Imma choose not to argue over the internet.
We each have our opinions and no amount of bickering is going to sway them.

    That is correct.
Now, time to get back on topic and away from presidential debates.

I believe the country in some ways is getting better, but also worse. I am proud that the LGBT community is getting stronger and more understanding. I hope to see a day when ALL of America allows same-sex marriage.

But economic wise, we are worse. Obama said he will lower the debt prior to his second term, yet it is rising. Obama is really just all talk, and little action. In social issues, he is cool (first sitting president to endorse SSM), but economic wise, he is terrible.

I voted for Obama in 2008, cause I believe he would bring positive change, and as an African American, I would love to see a black president. He did not impress me much, yet I voted for him in 2012, more because he was the lesser of two evils, and the Romney/Ryan ticket was appalling, plus Gary Johnson wasn't on the ballot in Oklahoma. I now regret voting for Obama and wish I just stayed home on Election Day (like my vote made a difference).

I realize that big government is the worse type of condition a nation could have, and I believe Obama is pushing us further in debt AND bringing in socialism. But the GOP is no better, they are the worst excuse for a faction ever seen.

I support small government and I cut ties with the Democrats and is now a member of the Libertarian Party.

I don't need sex, the BIG government screws me everyday.

Obama doesn't control policy on any but the very final level, i.e. sign or veto. The bulk of the responsibility lies on Congress, god help us all.

True words on that last sentence.

OT: I have very little (if any) trust in congress. I see them more for entertainment than anything. The Democrats are too busy boasting how they won the 2012 round to put any reasonable plans on the table, and I can't trust the majority of the GOP/Tea Party as far as I can throw them. Only thing I can hope for is with the growing of the Libertarian Party (we cast 15 million LP votes in 2012, a record high) that order will come. Most non-Libertarians picture us as Paul-worshipper a (both Ron Paul & his half Tea Party son Rand). But don't know we can be as to the right as the GOP or as left as the Dems, usually depending if it's fiscal or social issues.
