Still don't agree, except that she does look like a villain. Just not as much epic as Nightmare Moon. I guess I just don't like insect villains. :/
I think she's pretty cool as far as villains go. She's not my favorite villain (Discord takes that spot, hands down) but she's not a generic villain either. Her motivation isn't that great, but the way she goes about it does make a bit more sense. A trickster will succeed where a tank can't. My only real problem is introducing changelings out of no where. There wasn't a prompt, a little teaser in an earlier episode, they just appeared out of thin air.
I just took it that they were like wanderers who went wherever there was food, and they just discovered Equestria. Of course that's assuming there are lands other than Equestria, which is not canon.
The possibility of other lands is canon. I don't think Gilda or that one bull guy were born in Equestria. And looking at the Hearth's Warming Eve play, they mentioned the original ponies that lived in Equestria came from another land, escaping the Windigos.
Hmmm...true. Well in any case, that's what I thought. I don't think she's bad, just not as good as many give her credit for.
Yeah, same here. But hay, I'm not gonna argue with them. My brother doesn't think Ponies are cute, and I do. So.
Okay, so changelings feed on love, correct? Then why didn't they just eat pie? I mean, who doesn't love pie? By creating their own love for pie they are able to feed off of their love that they have created for themselves, thus creating a self-sustaining lifestyle where everyone is happy and everyone wins. A similar situation was resolved using pie.(Without a Barrel) Pie is able to bring out the best in even the most stubborn creatures because the love it gives outweighs any hate towards anything ever. Pie changes people. Pie ends war. Pie brings love. And by my calculations: Pie ≥ Love
Time to try and bring this back on topic somewhat. Overall, I'm just ok with Chrysalis. I do find it interesting that she's been the only one with a high ranking title (Queen, instead of Prince or Princess), which makes me wonder if at some point the show will introduce a King. The character design I thought was very creative and well done, and fit the character perfectly. Even the cocoon she trapped Princess Celestia in was a nice touch. I was also annoyed at the lack of character development and personality. It was strange that they just suddenly threw Changelings into the show without any kind of backstory as well. Both Nightmare Moon and Discord were given some form of backstory in the episode they were introduced, but with Chrysalis it's just BAM! New villain that the only hint we're giving might be around is that a threat was made against Canterlot! The whole thing seemed a bit forced to me. So as far as villains go, Chrysalis isn't my top favorite, but the potential was there.
Fun fact: Celestia was originally going to be called "Queen Celestia". But Disney has made the title "Princess" associated with good and "Queen" to be associated with evil. So that's why everyone else is a Princess and Chrysalis is a Queen. And I'd like to see some male royalty too. As for my opinion on her, I like her. She's not my favourite villain (that award goes to Discord) but she's probably my second favourite. I quite liked the idea of introducing changelings into the MLP universe. And there's something about Chrysalis that makes her that little bit more special, but I can't quite put my finger on it.
Eh, she's not the best, but she has a BA design and a BA villain song, so I still like her a lot. But still, she seemed a little rushed to come out and then to be defeated, but the season finale was still enjoyable. This is still My Little Pony, so you can't expect pure poetry every time. It was pretty experimental to do this with the season finale, and I feel it was a pretty big success. So even though Discord is still my fave, Chrysalis is still really cool.
Chrysalis is favorite in the fact that she is the only one still alive and moving. Sort of a last one standing thing. After all is said and done, though, she is just average. Nightmare Moon was like 20% cooler than twice as cool as Chrysalis. Chrysalis did answer a question before Celestia or Luna though; what is love?
I really liked her in the series, she was a dark, sinister and awesome villain. Although he was quite clever with his riddles and such, Discord just didn't have the sinisterness that I really love in a villain, and Nightmare Moon... Well, she was cool, but she appealed to me considerably less than the other two big-baws villains. So all in all, yeah. Chrysalis was best villain
Not just that but best pony. Being a changeling, she can be anypony. Which, to me, ends the whole "who is best pony?" question. Although I know many of you will come up a way say that this is irrelevant but at least now I know how to answer that question. It doesn't please or displease anyone. It just makes you think for a brief second.
Guis, Chrysalis is best everything so com at me if you think otherweise. But sirruisly, she is awesome.
^ Trust you to be on this thread Miggy! xD -- On another note, I'd like to see more Chrissie. She needs background info...
