There will be 2 main groups in this RP. The Ponies and the Changelings. We're going to be using the map linked below for references to any locations within Equestria. This is important, so please don't forget to keep checking it for reference if you don't know where something is in relation to what's being said/done.

Those wishing to join the changelings may want to send me PMs for my skype or just to talk should we want to co-ordinate on what a changeling can and cannot do, as well as some lore or history for them.

ACCEPTED CHARACTERS
The Changeling Queen, Sarachnia
Name (Nicknames): Sarachnia (Changeling Queen, Sara)
Age: 376
Codename: Princess
Appearance: Similar to Chrysalis, she is tall and slender, though her body and limbs are thicker. Her hair is purple, her eyes tinged pink rather than green, her coloured body plating a deep purple.
Unique Identifiers: Her royal emblem armoured plate around her neck.
Personality: Seductive, possessive, only interested in things of beauty. Very aloof, she treats those she likes as her toys (her children) and those she despises with the utmost contempt. A trickster and schemer, she uses her wit to get what she wants, though she's not above using 'other' means.
Skills/Abilities: Being changeling royalty, her power surpasses most changelings. Her cloaked disguises are far harder to see through. Her magic ability is based on the amount of love in the area OR the adoration of the one she's linked to. She has basic combat training that comes standard amongst royalty, but often neglects physical action to use magic or wit instead. Despite her personality, she's a VERY good actress and her disguises go unnoticed the majority of the time.
Character/Physical Flaws: Very arrogant and proud, she refuses to believe anyone but herself is correct. Her wings were damaged in the explusion from Canterlot meaning she finds it painful to fly for more than 15 minutes.
Hive Career: Once hatched, she was selected to work at the palace. Selected and placed into a group of 20 for the 'royal track' to become princesses to succeed the queen. Another of her group, Chrysalis, was selected before her, which caused her great jealous and malice for her. When the Canterlot invasion failed, she jumped on the chance to have her rival ousted from the throne and took it for herself forcefully. There are still 11 princesses on track to be queen should something happen to Sarachnia, so she has them psuedo-imprisoned in the palace being waited on by the palace staff so they're out of the way. At this point she has been on the throne for 4 months.

Personality: Is sweet, generous, and curious of the world around her. Also is daring and adventuresome.
Skills/Abilities: To fly, Is a part of the wonderbolts.
Character/Physical Flaws: Gets distracted easily, when she goes on a mental rampage, she usually wakes up on somepony's roof.
Biography: When she was a little filly, she always dreamed of flying up into the sky, flying with the most talented ponies there are, and she did when she got older.

Appearance: Changeling: Standard changeling appearance

Personality: Fair and nice to ponies whether she is ruining their lives or not. She was never into trickery, so she always got to ponies by appealing with kindness.
Skills/Abilities: Charisma, exceptional eyesight
Character/Physical Flaws: At first suspection, she starts breaking down rather quickly
Hive Career: Hunter (finds food (ponies) for other changelings)
Additional Details: She is willing to eat meat if matters force it, but has a particularly nasty dislike towards plants

Name (Nicknames): Viking
Age: (Sorry, but what would be the equivalent of the Mane 6's age in Changling?)
Codename: Blueberry Lemon
Appearance: (Pony) Robin's egg blue eyes, a light blonde mane, slim, but supposedly weak body. Cutie mark is a Cherry. Supposedly can plant fruit in a instant.
(Changling) Standard Appearance.
Unique Identifiers: Bright white eyes that shed light.
Personality: A loyal, fiery changling, with a yearn for adventure.
Skills/Abilities: Speed, and healing.
Character/Physical Flaws: If she becomes good friends with a pony, she feels obligated to protect them.
Hive Career: Hunter.
Additional Details: Viking has a short temper, and she is not afraid to speak her mind. Stubborn, but kind, Viking does not stop until she gets her way.

Name (Nicknames): Dark Shine (Darky/ Dark)
Age: 14
Race: Pegasus
Appearance: I am pretty sure you know this
Cutie Mark: <--------- Look over there. See my name? Its below there. Near the bottom.
Personality: The Stero-typical Pacifist until he is angry. Then he is tough to reason with and general bad attiuted.
Skills/Abilities: Can see amazingly well in the darkness and blends well in it as well.
Character/Physical Flaws: He is a pacifist at the end of the day. Would never hurt another on purpose unless dire need. Also has vulnrable wings and although is a Pegasus, has never been to Cloudsdale.
Biography: Hello there. My name is Dark Shine and I am a pegasus without being one. I have no Pegasus blood within me, yet I am still a Pegasus. I am more Zebra than I am Pegasus, but a Pegasus I am. At a young age, I struggled with flying, finding my cutie mark, and all of that... Then I found my talent and along with it, learnt to fly. All of that... In the middle of the night. If you need me to say more, just ask.

Name: Tic (Nickname: tictictictictictictictictictictictictictictic)
Age: 15
Codename: Tick Tock
Appearance: He's a bit dopey.
Unique Identifiers: Even when he's in character, hetendstotalkreallyfast and and and and s-stutter and trip over his words. He's also a bit jittery.
Personality: Tic has an oddly appropriate name, as he's borderline ADHD. He's not the nervous sort, but he can come across that way due to his glancing around every which direction. He has a tendency to get distracted fairly easily and tries to take his surrounding in all at once. He can rarely sit still for more than a minute or two.
Skills/Abilities: He has the uncanny ability to recall even the most minute details about anything, from the location of a particular vase in a room, to ponies' particular facial cues and mannerisms.
Character/Physical Flaws: The aforementioned ADHD can work to his detriment if he's trying to imersonate somepony who is normally calm and collected. He tends to get bored rather easily. (He aslo doesn't believe that anyone likes him.)
Hive Career: Forager

Appearance: Imagine a beefy changeling metal head. Okay... add more spikes. Okay... add an angry stare and a sadistic smile. Gold eyes.
Unique Identifiers: Picks fights and accepts challenges really easily, and loves hoof to hoof brawls.
Personality: Tends to growl, shout, and punch ponies a lot.
Skills/Abilities: Very good at hoof to hoof combat, he has a body that's trained to take hits and dish out damage. He's also good at torturing hostages who resist his draining powers at first, and enjoys breaking ponies down both physically and mentally for control.
Character/Physical Flaws: Hot-headed, and takes things the wrong way often. How body's become so tough that it's slowed his flight speed down a lot. He hates most music related to techno... and what he hates... he hurts.
Hive Career: Soldier
Additional Details: Uhh... I like Megahoof, Metalmane, Botulism, and Panther. Thems are my favorite metal bands. (Megadeth, Metallica, Anthraxx, and Pantera... if you were wondering.)

Name: Professor Follia
Race: Earth Pony
Special Talent/Cutie Mark: The outline of a wolf.
Appearance: He sits in his loud, Hawaiian-shirt that could do with both an iron and a decontamination. It's quite possible that parts of the pattern weren't there when the shirt was new. His mane was white and thin, parting in the middle and sagging around either side of his face. His tan coat seems to be around the same tone as leather, making his mark resemble a brand.
Personality: Mental. Almost entirely mental. Follia is an obsessive, eccentric professor that's only to happy to attempt to survive a hangover while teaching a class. What's odd is that most students don't notice. But he knows what his job is and behaves with his assumption of professionalism around students. Everywhere else, he appears to be on his gap year.
Character/Physical Flaws: Follia isn't really sure when he starts and stops being a bit weird. The eccentric pony manages to makes others feels rather....uncomfortable around him. This also manages to land him in trouble with his superiors at the University with some of his louder or more bizarre ideas. Some aren't sure if he's doing it to entertain himself or to help.
Furthermore, Follia is about as dangerous physically as a rabbit. His job isn't particularly physical so has not built up any ability to fight in him. Or withstand attacks...or anything like that.
Background: 'Follia' is the only name this wizened old goat will actually give. He signs it on everything, addresses himself as Follia and even the staff know him only as Follia. Maybe think he's weird. Most think he's possessed by some monster that he's encountered in his travels to study interesting wildlife. Others think he's still fighting against neo-toxins from those same creatures. What's agreed is that Professor Follia isn't boring.
He arrived at the start of term at the University with a cart full of cages and jars. Most were just specimens for teaching, happily sitting and watching the world go by as the cart trundles ever onwards. What is unusual, is that the deliveries of animals have never stopped. Animals large and small have passed through the office of Professor Follia and students that attend his classes have come away with some of the oddest stories. He once had jars of Parasprites and had trained them to carry him around the room. He was found chatting to a forum of bullfrogs over essay marks when a student checked in on him late one evening. He also invited some guests to play Texas Hold-Em until the wee hours of the morning. The guests included a high achieving student, a Griffin that insisted on being known only as "The Iron Wing", a Unicorn that gave no name but smoked cigars profusely and "Mitzy", a dog with a special spell cast upon him to play Poker.
The dog cleaned up. The Unicorn had to restrain Follia but never thought to put the cigar out.
Follia has managed to keep himself to himself and not cause trouble but the rest of the staff worry about what the reclusive weirdo does in this grotty office. Maybe getting him out and doing things will allow them to check he's not pickled one of the students or something.

Name (Nicknames): Haze Drift (Hazey)
Age: Mare...
Race: Pegasus
Appearance: Redish brown coat, yello mane and tail with greenish streaks
Cutie Mark: CD and Controller
Personality: Introverted, dislikes being in large groups and is awkward to speak with. Loves technology, and often spends more time with it then with other ponies.
Skills/Abilities: Hacking and programming software. Also okay with hardware-related stuff, and is quite stealthy.
Character/Physical Flaws: She dislikes and avoids socialising, and is awkward to speak with, sometimes finding it difficult to communicate things. She's not much of a fighter- Though she has the potential, it's a last resort, if escape isn't a option. She over-thinks things, and has little confidence in herself.
Biography: She often spent time alone, throughout her hildhood, by choice. She lived in quite a busy town, and so she found it hard to leave the house. As such, she didn't do much with her early life other than practice with technology and play video games.
When she left home, she searched for a smaller, more peaceful town- She found herself in Ponyville.

Ok, it's going to be clear that the changeling characters need to be able to co-ordinate a history, lore and such. We could do it here or use some other method to talk about it. I'm game for skype chat if you guys prefer. What do you think?

 

In that case, I'll do a little homework and type up my thoughts on the changelings and their community for you guys to comment on!
