So, I was looking for some time to the concept art of the G4 Ponies, and for some reasons, I actually like G1 Ponies more than G4 ponies. View attachment 5858 The pony I really prefer for the most is Firefly, followed up by Twilight. What G1 pony do you like for the most? And why? (It's a public question to everyuser!) (I'm not talking about G3 ponies in respect of G4 Rainbow Dash.)
I wouldnt mind them.I just dont like the G1 art style. If they were in G4 style than yeah. Actually a lot of G4 ponies are just renamed, recolored and restyled G1 ponies.
I like the style of G4 a lot, it's one of the main things that brought me into the show. At first, I didn't even realise it was My Little Pony I was looking at until seeing another video title. It seemed too different and badass from the series' that came before it. I hang around with some people who are into G1, but if I'm honest, I always found the toys a bit creepy, especially the eyes, and the bodies were too kind of pudgy for me. Not to mention G3 where saturation just unfortunately didn't exist. I mean just look at G3 Applejack! I prefer the streamlined version ponies of G4, with the more solid colours, sleeker body designs, cute eyes, awesome expressions, and stunning mane and tail animations. It just seems crisper. I'll go for Applejack because she stays kind of consistent. I don't like Rarity's original colours.
I agree with Poetic. I think that the older generations of ponies were a bit scary. I'm glad that Faust completely rebooted the design of the ponies (kind of).
I agree with Poetic as well. G1 isn't bad, in fact I like it. But the style of G4 is what really helped sell (and consider watching) FiM for me.
I've gotta say Posey, although I know little about the older generations due to my lack of interest in them.
Too be perfectly honest, I don't really like the first 3Gs of MLP, and I doubt I would be into MLP if it was like the 80s. I prefer FIM and it is what got me into MLP. If I will ever watch the classics, I kind of doubt it. I am glad MLP is how it is now.
