mmmmmmm.....Humans in Equestria.......... NO, Simply NO, I mean in the Original Serie of MLP: FIM, because, well, sometimes is curious see what could be happen if there humans in MLP, but for it its the Fanfics jeje, XD, SO talking about the original show, NO and NEVER¡¡¡
I think I'm going to go against the grain a little bit on this one. Although I agree that introducing humans into the MLP:FIM universe as a permanent presence is a downright horrible idea, I wouldn't mind it if it was done for one episode. As long as they don't do it in the style of the older generations (i.e., making it seem completely normal for talking ponies and humans to coexist. That's just not believable). I mean, if you had a pony walk up to you and start a conversation, would you just act all nonchalant about it? If so, kudos to you. I know I wouldn't. I can see it being some sort of a funny episode. Where would humans fit in the MLP universe? Probably somewhere in the Everfree forest, I guess. Wasn't the way the Everfree forest works described as our own world? Clouds moving on their own, plants growing on their own and animals caring for themselves. Sounds like a potential barrier between their world and ours if you ask me... well, sorta. Maybe another mysterious creature called a "human" has been known to live in a town that exists deep within the forest. I don't know. These thoughts are totally impromptu. I know, you probably think that sounds stupid, but I'm not really creative. Haha, that's why they make the big bucks. Basically, what I'm saying is it's not necessary at all, but I don't think one episode would hurt if they decided to try it.
Let me echo the many thoughts presented here: NO! NO WAY! UH-UH! FORGET IT! YUCKY! YUCKY! The only way I could see humans in MLP: FiM would be for them to be together in some other world/plane type story. I don't even read fan fiction where humans go to Equestria.
I personally think that would make everything really weird. Besides, MLP is my only way to escape all the stupid humans. >:c
Humans in the show, only if they're bronies and they are from another dimension, and ONLY for 1 episode. Other than that, NO!
Huh! Humans landing on Equestria? That'll be a nightmare to explain away! Besides, the humans would have to take lessons in learning the Equestrian language (despite that they speak English in the show).
@EpicMangoDude- Fluttershy is still ADORABLE! Applejack and Pinkie look a bit creepy and Rarity has a gigantic.....flank.....
This is a bit of a bump, but here's an interesting thing: http://www.reddit.com/r/mylittlepon...son_thiessen_supervising_director_of_mlpfi m/ That's as good as a confirmation we'll NEVER see humans in MLP:FiM Good or bad? Your views? Personally, I'm relieved, I think adding them would've just been darn awkward.
Spoiler: large image Seriously, I would not have enjoyed seeing humans. It would have ruined it for me, for countless reasons. Mainly how it would have taken a bit of the charm away from it. I mean, this is Equestria, a magical fantasy land of ponies. Humans don't exist here, and neither do all their problems. Besides, how weird would the writing have to have been to even bring them in?
i just gonna let Applejack answer this for me...
Well, as I said over a month ago, it wouldn't be a necessary addition at all. So, all I have to say is... Spoiler: imokaywiththis.jpg
I gotta be honest, I'm kind of saddened by the thought that humans will never show up in Equestria. As a show about friendship and harmony, it seems like it would make perfect sense to introduce the ponies to humans at some point... Give them some ups and downs, allow ponies to interact with another culture, maybe even have the humans come out better for having seen Equestria's wonders. Of course, I'd like to see the ponies meet Zebras and Griffons on their own turf, first. As for the fanfic angle: Being honest, the lack of humans in FiM has not stopped that from happening. HumanOCxPony ships will happen regardless of human presence in the show's setting or lack thereof. Potential squicky fanfic should never be the basis of executive decisionmaking (though I'm sure that the show's creators have much better reasoning than that).
Ships will Ship and People will Slash, cross or what-have you with whom or what every they please. Even fandom as somewhat clean as this one will have such things going on in it. That being said, I'm happy that no humans will be showing up in the show, mainly since I really don't trust Hasbro (note not the executive or the writes, but more the super marketing side toy of it) to not mess it up and make it all about the humans (to make toys of them) and the ponies loosing their focus as well as what the shows overall message. I second on wanting to see episodes where the ponies go to the Zebra and Griffons turf so maybe we can get a better feel for those characters. I would also like for a second episode with the Buffalo since it would be nice to have a follow up on their relation with the settler.
I'm glad they aren't using human characters because they don't need them for people to relate to the show. That's the mistake a lot of cartoons and other shows make, putting in a un-needed stupid human character that just ruins the show. Beast Wars didn't put in a stupid human character and the show did awesome because people can still relate to the characters' situations, personalities, and feelings, even if they were robots that transform into animals.
Well I been thinking about any humans showing up in the show, and the only way I would except even one episode with one human in it is that if it's a comedy episode staring a comedian celebrity like "Weird Al Yankovic", "William Shatner", "Mel Brooks", "Jay and Silent Bob", or ect. lol
Like I said, the show's themes are about harmony and togetherness. Yes, making sure that humans don't pretty much override the show would probably be a big concern, and it'd be something they'd have to watch out for if they ever did it. But I don't see how giving the ponies another strange culture to occasionally interact with, struggle against, and work together with would do anything but add to those themes. Though, yeah, like any decent idea, there's about a million ways for it to go wrong, I'll admit.
Bringing humans into the mix would be something Discord would want to do. So it's a bad idea from a friendship and harmony point of view. {Slips into character} One of my sworn duties to Equestria is to protect its borders against all intruders who would cause disharmony. If I encounter a human trying to enter the country, he or she had better be an invited guest of a Prince, Princess, or higher ranking pony, or I will do my duty and either shoot him or kick his heart out through his spine. In my experience, humans are bizarre deviants who want to ride us, mate with us, or hug us, which just gets our coats dirty. Some want to capture ponies and take them back with them, for reasons I don't understand but it can't be good. But the worst humans are the ones called "bronies", which are just IRRITATING. They're the ones I kick to death. The rest get taken out at 800 meters, silently and painlessly...if they ignore my fairly given warning to turn around or die. Fortunately, only a few really dumb or determined ones actually ignore the warning. The sight of an angry red pony with a rifle tends to make them reconsider. {slipping out of character} Bill can be a bit of a hard case sometimes...
