No one knows what they could or will do. They could come in any size, shape or form. Maybe they are like the Predator, then we are screwed. Perhaps they are like Hanar. Infinite possibles yo. I love to have an alien friend, that would be ballin'
I'm assuming here that the aliens would have to understand English, and even if they had their own language, they could have so many words for so many things we do not know about. Also, aliens = intelligent life in this context.
(looking way too deeply here) For them to have a translator they would have had to have made contact with us be---area 51. I see now. It all ties in.
Who says they haven't made contact. Humans don't need to see each other to learn languages. Rosetta Stone (space edition) I spend to much time thinking about this crap.
Haha, aliens have earth Internet access, or ordered a copy of Rosetta Stone for their PC's... *sigh* it would have to be in alien tongue for them to understand a correlation between what their language calls something and what the English language calls something. And I doubt they would make a space edition, as cool as it sounds. I'm starting to sound like a doubter, but I ain't.
Actually, all of the equipment from Area 51 has been moved to a secret base inside a mountain in California. For now, A51 is just an aircraft testing facility. Still off-limits to civilians, but it no longer holds any suspicious cargo. The reason they did this was because someone decided to snoop into A51 and found some very interesting things, but he was shot. That, and a lot of people try to get in there and hound it. So they just moved everything. Discreetly. Likely via an underground tunnel that runs between Nevada and other states.
It definitely makes you wonder what could be so important to them that they have to hide from everyone else in the entire world...
My Law teacher is ex Special Operations. He knows a lot of stuff. People in class asked a ton of questions about Area 51 and 9/11. He said that Area 51 -did- have top secret projects inside, but they moved it because 'Security was Compromised'. He's convinced that 9/11 was an inside job, too. Mainly because he's read some files pertaining to some transcripts from high-ranking Al-Quada military officials as part of one of his ops. He didn't say anything about what these projects WERE. But hey. What can ya do.
He sounds awesome, you should ask him about all this stuff, say a bunch of bronies were debating on his statements.
Wait... He's theoretically one of the most powerful men on the planet... And he watches MLP. Wonder how that went down with his ex-officers. He is a legend.
Aliens are probably out there, scientists have found planets capable of harbouring the natural things that all living organisms need to survive. And who knows, maybe one day those organisms will adapt enough to live on any planet anyway. Thing is, if there's none that have come for us now, they're either billions and billions of miles away, or they're not evolved enough to do the same things we're capable of, or both. It could take millions of years for them to evolve to our level, or a good century or millennia until their space shuttles, ships, whatever, reach us, so unfortunately I doubt we'll see them in our lifetimes unless they are already on their way and have been for quite a lengthy considerable amount of time. Which I doubt because space probing software would have detected if they were close by now. And why are we discussing the existence of aliens? Us ponies should be more concerned about the possible more realistic threat of, It was a military base, if I remember correctly the original Blackbird SV71 was developed there, amongst other forms of high-tech modern weaponry. It wasn't to do with aliens, or else someone would have blabbed by now, and I'm not saying that's the only reason, but you just can't rely on anyone to keep their yaps shut forever. Unfortunately you get nutjobs who try to milk the publicity out of it, which is exactly why the alien rumours started in the first place. It's more likely people over-exaggerate seeing alien crafts there, for example, they're probably new military prototypes instead that resemble stereotypical spacecraft. You wouldn't want your secret battle plans leaking out to civilians, other rival countries or terrorists, (alien tech or not) because that's your back-up plan to surprise the enemy in war.
I don't understand how someone could think aliens don't exist. Out of the infinite stars and galaxies out there, we're the only one with life? Hmmm.
Aliens are more than likely to exist. As for a civilization of alien life, that's harder to say, but bacteria and the like are for certain. I'm more interested in the Yeti though. (No, not Yetione. )
