meat, meat, meat, meat, meat, meat, meaty-meaty-meat-meat! I am a crazy buddhist who enjoys eating meat, yeeeeup.=) But of course i would like to get my meat not from poor slaughtered animals! So i realy like this new technology that was invented recently, wich allows to artificially grow real meat without killing animals. That's just perfect! I hope they will make it accessible for common people very soon. However, not like it's gonna be accessible in Russia in the nearest future.=) I guess we just gonna be meat eating, animal killing barbarians for a while, while Europe, USA and Canada will be civilized.=) Oh well, that how it always goes in Russia.
i disagree with artificually grown meat, it goes against my principles, and the sheer idea of my food not actually coming from a piece of nature just seems wrong.
for school i had to go through pictures of blood covered battery farms. half an hour later i ate chicken nuggets for lunch. And also, if i do not consume animals that are killed, they died for nothing, rather then have a purpose. And anyways, eating meat is nature.
ok, you have a point.=) Even buddhism teaches that it's there fault. But it's also teaches that we still should not harm them. And i, personaly, agree with that. I just don't like the idea of pain infliction on anyone, who can feal it. That's the main point. The other point, is that they want to live, as we do. So...i'd rather not harm them in any possible way. BTW, i don't have anyting against eating meat of an animal that died on it's own. That's ok i guess. There 2 possible situations: first one is that when they are killed on purpuse in order to become your meal. The other is that when they just randomly die. I don't see nothing bad in eating meat of an animal that just randomly died, btw. But if it was killed on purpuse just for you to eat it...well... Maybe someday humanity will not think of itself as a center of the Earth.=) I hope this day will come.

Nope, I eat them, the ones left continue on their 'happy and merry' lives trying to live through the hell that is nature. This is real life, not a disney film. If anything, being eaten by humans is MUCH more humane than by animals because we kill our meat first, not eat it alive like in the animal world. Also, a lion or cannibal can't live through taking a 12 gauge to the face.
