Then again, neither do you have proof. Also, Karma isn't a law. As for the actual topic, I'm kinda lost seeing as its descended into, this?
Karma doesnt exist.Neither does luck. Now for something related. Meat is delicious.Im not gonna eat artificial meat. Life requires the death of other life.
A summary here would be the argument of morality for the consumption of meat, and naturally who and what can comprehend good and evil, two measures of morality, stemmed from there.
Oh, and that's surely not a belife, but a proved fact!=) It's funny guys how you accuse me in having lack of arguments, though you also make statements without proves. That depends on what do you call evil or good. If you think that these terms are only represent something psyhological, then you are totaly right! But for me, good and evil have a mystical, metaphysical meaning, you see. And if wolf don't understands that he is doing evil. that does not mean tha karma will not hit him hard. Eventualy his karma will go bad and he will likely rebirth in hell. So obviously, wolf is evil and wrong, even if he can't understand it. And his actions will surely bring consequences. Not to mention. that wolf is not a wolf at all. He is actualy a drifting from body to body entity. And the reason why he was born as wolf is that he actualy screwd up in previous life. So he is evil even by the right of birth. So that's the reason of our misunderstanding, i guess. What you call evil or good is just a psyhological terms. And i am talking about something real.
okey dokey lokey! So we came to the ULTIMATE TRUTH! The only true fact that was stated is that we have our beliefs and we make our arguments based on them. That, guys, will bring us nowhere. So as i said. Let's just simply state our points of veiw and that's all. Cause it's really meaningless to argue in such case.
Anything who takes life away is 'evil' by moral standards, anything that improves the life around it is 'good' by moral standards. By nature, wolves are 'evil' creatures, but they cannot discern the difference. They kill because they need food. That is it. There is no evil intent, but the act of killing itself is 'evil.' I think that's what he's trying to say.
I think im to much of a biologist to see killing in the animal world as bad. Its a life cycle. The animal killed will rott and will be the base for something different. And the energy given to the aformentioned wolf will mabye feed the unborn kids in his body with the meat he got from another animal. And therefore by killing one life you will get another. ^^
Obviously this isn't going to work out, considering that people have different opinions. The only thing I didn't get was the whole "Why love one and eat the other?" quote or whatever. I honestly never saw a reason for it. If anyone would like to explain, please, go ahead.
Ok, so this is more interesting theme indeed! So why do you people treat differently to different animals when it comes to you dinner ? For me there is no difference between animals at all. And in general, btw, there is not much difference between a human and an animal(and i am not talking about dinner=)).
It's a difference in culture. In Vietnam, for example, dog is a delicacy and in India, the cow is considered sacred. We've just adapted to what we've been given to eat over the years. If it was rare, it was usually considered valuable, so why eat it? There are also religious reasons but I'm not too keen on those.
I have too many problems of my own to care deeply about animals that I will never even see. I've been to a few factory farms when I was in Ohio and they are definitely not as bad as the vegans on youtube make them out to be. It was a piggery and they all seemed fine with their living arrangements. Just because a human would find it revolting doesn't mean the animals don't like it. I've seen all of the "horrors on factory farms" videos on youtube back when I was doing research on the subject. I tried to have an intellectual conversation with many vegans, but had little to no success. On a different though, if factory farmed animals didn't want to get slaughtered and eaten, then maybe they shouldn't taste so good. I won't stop eating meat any time soon. The vegans can keep their "facts" and I'll keep my bacon. My sweet, tender, smoke bacon. *drools*
There is no fine line (or so I believe) in eating for survival and eating for pleasure. It's more like a vast canyon of a grey area.We are programmed to seek food as a survival mechanism, so even when we don't immediately need food we often go out of our way to acquire food. Some people seem to eat for pleasure, and when they eat meat for pleasure, I consider it a bit of a waste. That's not only because living things were killed to make you that food, but also because there are other humans on the planet who need it more than you do. I won't try to stop them, but I can make my own choices. That's why I'm a Vegetarian. I don't think it's immoral to eat meat, and I certainly don't think it's a bad decision or that being a Vegetarian is something that makes me better than the people that do eat meat.
Theres also the thing about pets. Most people cant stand the thought of eating a dog because they had one when they were younger. Its just an emotional bond. I come from a small village and there were a lot of cows but i never had an emotional bond with a cow. While my dog was accompanying me for 14 years since i was 2 years old. Therefore i would never eat a dog. Same for cats, rats and guineapigs i could never eat them since i had them as pets. But excep from that i try everything with no remorse.. kangaro, antelope and stuff.. i tried it all. IF i had a pig as a pet i dont know if i would be able to eat it. Also you have to differenciate between the species. It would be a stupid idea to eat a wolf. i dont know how it is in america or russia, but in germany they were all killed years ago and just by now start to come back here. Therefore i would for example eat them. Thats the same with fur. i have furs here and i like them. i would never take the fur of a white tiger. You can say that is part of a moral thing, and if it is, tis is the moral i have. BTW: i dont thin anyone is insulting another, just to discuss you sometimes have to attack the reasoning of another person to get a good discussion. doesnt mean someone has no respect for it ^.^
