While I was exploring through Youtube too catch up on my pony vids I came across a video of "Bronies reacting to: College Humor." Now I personally didn't take offense to that and I don't think most ponies didn't either. But there was one thing that was getting on my nerves throughout the whole video... "Was this really necessary?" I can't help but notice that some of the questions they were answering was just flat out going to deep into a video that was obviously meant for giggles and laugh. Iv'e seen an increasing number of bronies these past few months and up until now Iv'e been thinking that was good... But i'm starting too see deeper and darker things that have been slowly but surely pushing through our sub-conscience and dominating our reasoning. We're beginning too take things too deeply and too literally. I remember the entire Derpy Hooves campaign was only caused by a handful in the fandom and yet I wouldn't be one bit surprised if Hub was on the verge of just kicking us all to the curb cause of that. Season 3 is approaching fast and we all feel like we're ready... But I question if we really are... It'll only take one more thing like the Derpy Hooves incident to completely rip this fandom apart. The fact of the matter is, is that we (adults) are taking things about the show more personally and immaturely then the 10 and under are. We are becoming (in an hypothetical term) too territorial and coming season 3 there's not much we know right now... Something similar to what happened to Derpy could happen again, and with the way we're acting I don't think many people are gonna "love and tolerate" that. Listen all i'm trying to say is that you all need to start not thinking so hard about stuff that wasn't meant to be. The College Humor video was for laughs like I said. But when Saberspark and Mic are both going into a parody video as deep as they were, it starts too make me think that we are starting to become more and more judgmental and possibly hostile towards change or other people. I'm not completely sure about all of this, but I have to get this out here. I have a VERY dark and foreboding feeling about this fandom with this upcoming season. If anything does erupt I personally will do my best to stop it, but I can't do this alone, we all need to stick to each other and we can't let some oversensitive fanboys or trolls bring down this fandom.
Thoughts and predictions I've found tend to always go to the worst case scenario, me, I honestly don't care, want to know why? You have to remember these are companies we are talking about, and as long as we are making them money and getting them views, they don't care WHAT we do.
Blasphemy, we all know the Earth is the center of the universe... and flat! Honestly, i care very little about this. Let people say or do what they want.
And in the end, even we Bronies are still Human. But I personally don't see the fandom being ripped asunder just yet. Or I'm just ignorant. :ahh:
^This I couldn't care less what happens to be honest, come season 3 all I'll be doing is watching a TV show and talking to people on a forum.
Ladies and gentleman, the rare sane brony is in our midst. I certainly have to agree about the maturity thing.
I've seen that video ages ago ,as well as the other bronies react, and to be honest they basically just doing it for entertainment purposes. if youve watched the other bronies react (season 2 finale, teens react to mlp and derpy hooves voice) you'll see what i mean.
What's all this "we" stuff. I'm not responsible for how other bronies react. Quite frankly, I couldn't care less either. As long as the show remains intact, that's all I care about. I admit I used to care about how people thought of bronies, but not anymore. This is the internet. Does it really matter? As for the Derpy thing, I must have missed that. I thought it was just upsetting to people and a few complained about it, but it seems others remember it being a lot more serious than that.
Alot of you seem to be saying the same thing... I don't think you understand what I'm getting at, I really couldn't care less what other people think... It's more over the fact that i'm afraid that this fandom is gonna start hating on itself in a sense. Yes, in the end it is just the internet. But it's also the internet that grouped us all together and allowed us to watch the show in the first place. The Hub could easily take off all the episodes of MLP on youtube, but they don't because they want too keep the fandom intact. If **** hits the fan again they may say "F it" and do so that way they pretty much force us all to watch it on their website, their channel, or through the On Demand stuff. What I'm trying to get at is that, "yes we may have talent. Yes, we may be civilized and what not. But we're going to start hating eachother if we don't start being more mature over this kind of stuff."
