How do you think EP's doing?

Hey guys, I wanted to ask, how do you think EP's doing, and do what direction do you think it's heading in? Of course this isn't an official thing, just an informal poll on how you think the site is doing, that is all.

 

I don't like how a lot of the staff seem to be leaving. I wish there would be more legit discussions as upose to just forum games all the time

 

I have been here for a long time, and i can see the forum having a slow death at the moment.
It's like somebody has slit EP's throat to be quite honest.

 

I'd have to say, honestly, that we're at a neutral point, and with all of these staff members leavin', it ain't lookin' good. I'm workin' on somethin' that a few people know about here on the forums to try and get a better idea of what we can fix.

This doesn't mean we can't do somethin' to try to prolong the site's life an' all. I'll do my best to make sure this place gets better 'till the end.

 

I would just like to say that I really really hope this forum doesn't get trashed. This is my first and favourite forum. I have met a lot of nice people here and I feel this is the best place I can talk about MLP and be myself.

 

I left the staff because I believed it to be a slowly sinking ship for various reasons that I will share if PM'd on Skype or here. However out of common courtesy I shall refrain from outright posting them here.

First I didn't like how quiet everything was, then there was a problem all the drama that should have been kept in private kicking off, then I noticed cracks and terrible things from several staff members. In the end, I left the staff because of staff.

I wanted to be staff so I could help this site out and make sure you guys were okay and were being treated fairly.

But in this day and age, I think things are startin' to pipe down. People are leavin' because they're sick and tired of how the staff is actin' in the staff rooms, and it seems like me and a select few staff are the only ones who are actually trying to salvage what we can out of everything.

We're doin' our best, but I think our best may not be enough in the long run.

Believe it or not, there are still people who care about this site and the people on it. And for the life of me I'll do whatever it takes to make sure this place stays a home to other people as it did to me.

We're on the wrong track. But I hope we can get back on the right one.

Nah, no thread closure, there's no reason for it unless it gets out of control.

You all know my thoughts on the site; I've made them clear many times so it should be no surprise, but I'm curious now.
If so many people believe the forums are going in the wrong direction, I'd love to hear some ideas on how to improve its state, and yes, I understand the potentially argumentative nature of this request, so if you feel indignant on doing so, shoot me a PM. Otherwise, I'd love to collaborate with you all and get this thing back to the way it used to be.

 

Why would we close the thread? It's not breaking any rules.

Anyway, I think it was bad around August, but has been better lately, and will continue to get better.

 

^Maybe you should make a thread of that Zeph, just a kinda town-hall type meeting on how we can improve this site.

 

I'm workin' on somethin' similar, Snow, I just need a little more time to get the chinks of the armour removed. Don't worry.

 

You've been saying that for months.

 

I've been toying with the idea of holding a Site Meeting in the General chat one of these days so that we can all work together as a community to improve the state of the site, but similar events have failed in the past.

How would you guys feel about this sort of thing?

As for a thread, we have the site discussion section. If anybody has any ideas they can post them there or shoot a mod/admin a PM.

 

You have your facts confused, I've been working on a video for the site for months. This has only been going on for about a month and is a recurring project of mine.

 

Well what is it? Why dont you mods tell us anything?

 

That would actually be an incredible idea!

 

Let's not clump us all together in this. Not even I know what he's been working on, he hasn't told any of us.
