hi everypony! i just had a few questions that others might be able to awnser. 1.how do some of the main charecters make money? i know pinkie baby sits, rarity has a clothing store and applejack sells apple based products, but what about rainbow dash, fluttershy, and twilight? 2.does rainbow dash have any family? 3. do ponies eat meat? or are they all vegetarians? i would think they eat meat, since chicken eggs are required to make cake, but i dunno. i know i had other questions, but i forgot them.
1:Twi is a student. I think Celestia pays for her stuff. Fluttershy might help at vets Rainbow could work somewhere in Cloudsdale 2:I like to think Scootaloo is he long lost sister or something. Or we could go with "Mommy Nearest" and say Celestia is her mother.
1. As Sparky already saod. Fluttershy treats the pets of others, Twi is student, so Celestia or her Parents will pay for her. Well and Rainbow will get some sort of money from the weather making stuff. 2. Good question. I really would also like to have this answered some time
1) - Twilight is a student, so she probably is funded by her parents/celestia. - Applejack works on her farm, the produce is sold - Pinkie Pie helps out the Cakes in their business - Rainbow Dash is part of the weather patrol - Rarity has a boutique - Fluttershy takes care of the animals, including the pets of others Although the pony life doesn't seem to be too expensive, so it's probably not a big problem. Also, we don't want little girls depressed about the economy too. 2) I assume that they still live in Cloudsdale. As for why we haven't seen them yet, remember that we didn't even know about Twilight's supposed BBBFF unto the season 2 finale. Season 3 could answer some questions though.

If it wasn't for the Sonic Rainboom episode, we wouldn't even know Pinkie Pie had any family anywhere, we don't even know if she still does. Rarity's parents obviously don't live at the Boutique, hell we don't even know if Sweetie Belle lives with her all the time, so maybe Dash's parents live elsewhere.
sparky basically read my mind. (except scootaloo) Rainbow Dash: weather patrol, and prize money from winning flying competitions. Twilight Sparkle: hear parents pay and/or she has scholarship that pays her expenses. Fluttershy: Local Vet/Pet watcher (like she has hotel for pets while ponies are out of town) as for Rainbow Dash's family, I like to believe that she's only child, unless canon proofs otherwise.
A have a thought about Twilight. Actually, as we can see in the show, she lives in a library. We don't get the info if it's a public library or private one. But if it's public, then she can be a librarian. Also, she does some organizing work for Celestia when it comes to different festivities and all. Maybe she get's her salary for that too.=) But you know what, it's not very interesting to talk about jobs of main characters! Because you can easily come to conclusion here. What's more interesting, is that where THE CAKE are Jelly Pony and "I want to pierce everything!" Pony working ?!
Apparently the guy who made this topic is either new to the fandom or he hasn't been paying attention to the show very good because everyone knows that Rainbow Dash's job is Weather Patrol.
