Okay, here's what ya gotta do. Think of your favorite movie (or movies) and post the trailers in this thread! I'll start with my favorite movie: Pulp Fiction.
My favorites Green lantern: first flight Green lantern: emerald knights Batman: under the red hood. Baseket ball. Star wars 4-6 I'll add links and more movies when I get off work. -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums
You didn't like the recent Green Lantern movie? and what's wrong with the Star Wars Prequels? XD I saw it, I thought it was good, but other than that, it didn't do too much for me.
My all time favorite movie has to be the original Jurassic Park. I have so many memories with this movie that I can't help to stop and watch it if I come across it on television. The effects are still brilliant 18 years later, the music is phenomenal, and Jeff Goldblum is Jeff Goldblum. I even go on the theme park ride as much as I can when I go to Orlando. I just hope Spielberg doesn't screw up JP IV....please let it be good... Here's the trailer! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bim7RtKXv90
Although there are a few films I like, such as Flight of the Navigator, The Neverending Story, Alien and Star Wars IV, V and VI, there is one film that is, in my eyes, untouchable. It's the one film that there is literally nothing I would change about. It's perfect. The Dark Crystal. Notice how all the aforementioned films were made before 1990? When it comes to films, the old ones really are the best. While films like Inception and Avatar were really good (especially Inception), films will never be made in the same way again. It's an industry on life support. It's dying from the sheer lack of talent, thought and heart, yet it simply can't die with the amount of money involved. I'll always prefer the old films.
Hold your ponies, I said after work. I liked the most recent lantern movie. The prequels, were just to flashy for me and I don't know just not a fan. Green lantern: first flight Green lantern: emerald knights Batman: under the red hood. Baseket ball. The Girl Who Leapt Through Time You have to watch it. Megamind Tangled Defendor Star wars 4-6 Jurrassic Park There are more, maybe I'll put them up later.
My all time favorite movie would have to be... Law Abiding Engineer. ...but it all seriousness, I'd have to say its Terminator 2.
Ooooh, I loved The Dark Crystal; one of the best movies I've seen. To be honest, this is a close second to T2.
Any of the old Star Wars movies IV-VI though Empire is my personal favorite Blade Runner Terminator series. I have an efacuation with time travel and the concept of machines being self aware Total Recall Actually, any 80's style science fiction in general. Not a question to ask the more, hardcore Star Wars fans. You'll get an essay about it.
The Bourne series, As Good As It Gets, a couple of the Bruce Lee movies. There's so many awesome movies. Even for anime/animation. I always loved the Battle Angel Alita/Gunnm OVAs, for example.
Once Upon a Time in the West One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest Fight Club The Lord of the Rings trilogy The Shawshank Redemption My list has pretty much been the same for a long time.
You guys shouldn't be too surprised when I tell you what my favorite movie is. It's the 1996 film, Twister! I was 10 years old when this movie came out. This is around the same time my fear of thunderstorms was turning into a love and passion for storms. I think this movie may have even played a role in that, despite its scientific inaccuracies. Speaking of, I find it funny the mixed views I hear from fellow Meteorology students and professors about this movie. Some like it, but others hate it because of the aforementioned inaccuracies. I, personally, don't mind it. It is true that it's not meteorologically accurate, but from an entertainment perspective, it's a great movie. Also, if I want to watch an accurate presentation of storm chasing and/or tornadoes, I'll watch a documentary. Part of this thought process applies to MLP:FiM as well. Rainbow Dash violates the principles of Meteorology (and Physics), but I don't mind (i.e., being able to move clouds around, clouds being tangible— it'd be impossible to walk on Cloudsdale, plus it'd be wicked cold and the air would be very thin at that altitude, just to name a few things). Despite that, I still like the concepts. I guess some scientific minds just don't like fantasy. Oh well. Their loss.
28 Days Later and The fighter are my two favorite movies. I watched 28 Days Later one chilly October night and instantly fell in love with it.
Favorite Animated Films 1. Peter Pan 2. Titan A.E 3. Lion King 4. Atlantis: The Lost Empire 5. Pokemon the Movie and Lucario and the Mystery Mew Live Films 1. The Goonies 2. Pearl Harbor 3. Willy Wonka: Charlie and the chocolate factory 4. E.T 5. Wizard of Oz These films might be old but i'm old fashion. I'm Stuck in the past.
I love you. XD I LOVED Atlantis! Vinny was my favorite character! It sucks that two adventure movies Disney did- Atlantis and Treasure Planet- became my two favorite movies, yet they bombed horribly and were never spoken of again....*sigh*....
Inglorious Basterds, Ip Man, Tropic Thunder, the Hangover, Slumdog Millionaire, Kung Fu Hustle, I am Legend, Shaolin Soccer, Inception, etc... ALL THE POKEMON MOVIES!!! (yes, I'm a Pokefan) Tons of Disney as usual.. (ie, Alladin, the Aristocats, the Princess and the Frog, etc) Some Dreamworks (Rio, Despicable Me, etc) And some anime movies... (the Dissapearance of Haruhi Suzumiya, etc) I guess my overall favorite would be Ip Man/Slumdog Millionaire/Shaolin Soccer/Alladin/Inglorious Basterds/Inception.... and no I can't make up my mind still XD
I've loved this movie ever since I was a filly :] That was a great movie, maybe Henson's best work right there. Those movies seem pretty BA, in all honesty. Terminator 2 is quite possibly the perfect action movie. I think the prequels were good movies, I think some people just wanted too much. I really need to see those at some point. Really good movie right there, I really like One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. I never really liked Vin Diesel in all honesty XD Actually, that totally caught me off guard XD 28 Days Later is a phenomenally movie. Atlantis may be my favorite animated movie, I love you! XD All great movies XD
I'm SO sorry if I come across as a jerk, but my animated movie senses went off. Disney technically didn't do Toy Story, that was all Pixar. Lastly, Pixar didn't do Rio and Despicable Me, that was Dreamworks....
