Rock,Metal, Ambient, Classic, Folk, different avanguard stuff and a little bit of Hardcore Techno. That's in general. Because i am a music lover for sure and just like really cool music.
Electronic is my god. Well, actually it depends on what mood i'm in. But the usual is dubstep, electro, house but if i'm ever sad or angry, i can listen to orchestral, piano or, sometimes, rap to enstrengthen previous said mood. ... Can you tell that i'm a generally happy person through my post?
I tend to like most genres of music (except for a lot of poppy pop and gansta rap), but my favourites are Melodic Metalcore/Orchestral Rock and yes, those are very rare and specific genres which you have probably never heard...that' could be why i like them. But my main reasoning for liking them is penguin (why? because i can.)

Wow! So much disaffection for Rap & Country.... 5 years ago I would love to hear people hate both Rap & Country. But now I like both a lot. But they play 3rd & 4th fiddle to Rock & Electronica. I prefer Punk, Metal (all kinds), Gothic, Hardcore, Emo, and Classic Rock. My favorite band is AFI, but I also like bands like Motionless In White, Alkaline Trio, Raised Fist, Linkin Park, System of a Down, Rage Against the Machine, Blink 182, I Am Ghost, Marilyn Manson, and like 300 more bands. I also like Electronica; mainly Trance, House, D&B, and Techno, and to an extent Dubstep. My favorite electronica artists are: Deadmau5, Armin Van Buuren, Basshunter, DJ Splash, DJ Satomi, Skrillex, Vinyl Scratch, and Benni Benassi. I also like anime and video game music. I like the music to animes like Oreimo, Outlaw Star, Panty & Stocking, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and TouHou. For rap and country, I like Notorious BIG, 2Pac, Nas, Jay-Z, Rick Ross, Drake, OFWGKTA, Wiz Khalifa, Ceddybu, and J Kidd. And for country, I like Taylor Swift, Kenny Chesney, Reba McIntyre, Toby Keith, Garth Brooks, and Zac Brown Band.
Indeed, I do quite like Dream Theater, though I find myself listening to a lot of a7x lately. And I am working on a collab with Darkshine as well...but the end result shall be revealed later. - - Auto Merge - - I love so many of these bands as well. AFI was the very first band that I really got into, and they're still up the top with my favourite bands of all time.
AFI has been my favorite for about 3 years, I have 68 songs by them, spanning all their albums from "Answer That and Stay Fashionable" to "Crash Love". My favorite albums by them is "Black Sails In The Sunlight" and "The Days Of The Phoenix". Their frontman, Davey Havok, encourage me to become both Straight-Edge and a Vegetarian (he is actually a Vegan). Right now, I have about 1816 songs and about 2/3s of them is a form of rock, the others being electronica, rap, country, anime, r&b, or what little pop and jazz I have.

I'm a fan of Gaijin Rock (Area 11), pop-punk (dave days, Stuck in your radio) and other bands like abney park and steam powered giraffe but also Tim minchin.
I can't answer this. I listen to most genres, so I don't classify pme as better than the other. Like, right now, I'm listning to some alternative rock, but I might listen to some metal or hip-hop next
