I ponsonally believe That ponies are capable of being omnivorous. For rp purposes ponies diets are as follows but not limited too an immense varity of plants seafood poultry red meat can be eaten and sometime is though it is frowned upon.
I've always thought of the ponies to be omnivores. But today while viewing the episodes on the HUB, I gave a little thought as to their diet. I think that some (most) of them are vegetarians. But a few are omnivores. You might have a few vegan ponies. But a good 80% of them are vegetarians whereas, only 5% of America's population (me being one) are vegetarians.

yeah they are probably like a majority of us humans, some of us are vegatarian but most of us eat meat and plants.
Well Pinkie also said they eat Hot Dogs, so either Hot Dogs are vegetarian in the ponyverse or she is lying about something.
Actually, it's not. Why would the chicken toy look like that if they didn't eat chicken? It's plucked.
i, personally, think that ponies do eat meat. on a side note, wouldent ponies have to know what meat looked like in the first place to make a vegan version of the meat? onece again, i think people are trying to put WAY to much logic in a show based on the most illogical possible things ever.
I'm just going to throw this in; knowing stuff about horses and such... On our horse farm we have someone who does, as a treat, feed her horse a hamburger at times. That being said, I know that most hot dog companies that I know now use 100% beef. Ahem... anyway, it's not healthy, but they can eat meat. It's kinda like how it's not healthy for us to drink caffeine, but we can ingest it. P.S. The show's answer for the pigs was that ponies really like Truffles, and pigs are unnaturally good at finding truffles.
