I can't.. Theater people scare me. I know our prices on stuff are outrageous, but they don't have to unleash their fury on me! I don't come up with the prices. Do ya have a more peaceful job or something?

 

Overnight at walmart. I listen to music all night. It's pretty easy to thing. Throw on some instrumentals and they it's super easy to think.

 

Oh, you get to work nights? I only have to do that on occasion.. Strange people come in at night, though. We aren't allowed to throw on music.

 

I've worked overnight for the last 3 years. I couldn't work without music.

 

Seriously? You've survived working overnight at Walmart for 3 years? This is only my first year working at the theater and I already am starting to have second thoughts, but I also don't want to quit as I can't guarantee I'll get a better job.

What exactly do ya have to do? Is it like me where they will have you do whatever random job they feel like putting ya on? I was actually planning on applying at a Walmart, but I decided against it as walking 6 miles there and then another 6 back sounded too tedious

 

As long as you warn beforehand, I think it'd be okay. I curse in my streams.

 

it's not so bad. Considering what I can get away with. I stock shelves, it's super easy. Even it being overnights isn't all that bad.

well I wasn't counting my langauge. There will be plenty of that. Any way, the farthest I'd have gone would have been panties on something. Not really that NSFW.

 

Is that all you have to do is stock shelves? Do ya ever have to work registers or anything like that?

 

nope, I refused to learn how to do it. So I either work in the back or on the floor.

 

I should have tried refusing! Working the concession stands is irritating. I even prefer cleanup crew over that.. Can't wait til I get to do the projection room job, though! Are your managers fairly lenient on what ya do? (My bad for the bundle of questions!)

 

Cart Pushing, baby. Just walk around getting carts, with nary a manager interruption. Good exercise, lots of time to think/listen to music, little interruption. Summer can be very trying though.

 

they are now. How do you think I post all night long. As long as I do my job and complete it I can do as I see fit.

my brother was a cart pusher. He hated it. I've never had to do it, so I don't know.

 

How about winter? It gets rather cold around here, I don't think I would like that job very much.. Plus having to walk 6 miles back to my apartment room after work would eventually kill me! I do like the being able to listen to music part! I normally can't even think when I'm at work.

Sound like you're your own boss. I don't think I could get away with anything like that.. My managers are out for blood!

 

Kinda. I have to behave when the big boss man comes in. But other then that, it's an easy place to work.
