    Been there. I once had my dad yell at me for being up at midnight in order to write some poetry.

    In my favor: I am an aspiring author and poet, and I had nothing important going on the next morning.

    Anyway, this isn't about me. Conflicts with your parents are rough, and sometimes unavoidable. Occasionally, it pays to stick it to the man. Often, it does not.
