The world's not going to end, but I hope all of the fools who decide to promote anarchy (YOLO!) when the alleged date comes are weeded out of society. Wasn't the world supposed to end March of last year or something (and hundreds of times before that)? There's been so many predictions and prophecies, I think it's just a fearful cry for attention and comfort at the unknown for the groups that make it a big deal. Life will go on, whether it includes us or not.
So and who decides, if the person is beyond function? I have a friend, that has Muscular dystrophy and he will die at a young age, maybe 30 maybe 40. Is he bayond function? Or is it a waste to educate him? He finished school and is working in IT. And he will be working for some other years. So in your opinion it would have been better to let him die if he doesnt work enough to help the state get the money back they spend on him with health care? If thats your opinion, then i am very dissapointed. He is a nice guy, enjoying his life and even though going to concerts and stuff..
'Beyond function' means one who is incapable of understanding or preforming the basest actions or knowings. It's really pretty self explanatory.
want to know something funny? since the world is supposed to end on the 21st guess what. it is my little brother's birthday
Even if they do believe in the Mayans predicting it, they must realize they DIDN'T take into account leap years, so they're FAR LATE. But you know, if they really believe in that, then they must also believe that dinosaurs are just a goverment hoax. SUPER-MEGA-BIBLE-THUMPER ACTIVATE! FORM OF: IDIOT!
This makes me think of an episode of 31 minutos. A prophet tells the whole news crew that the world will end soon and, well, it does but everyone is still alive. The prophet then says that after that world ended a new one was created. Funny episode x3 Sunburn, you should check it out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-lc3m3flWA
My thoughts? I guess it will be a night like any other. What? Let's just not bash mentally disabled people at all, okay? Even if your original post was sarcastic.
Muh, I'm not bashing mentally disabled people I'm saying that we shouldn't necessarily use so many resources on them when they're not going to end up learning anyway. It was a misplaced vent, nothing else.
Said this before, but... yes, they did. They used the stars as the basis for their time system, and, in fact, their calendar was a lot more accurate than ours. They didn't account for leap years, no, but the way they profiled their time made leap years irrelevant. It's still December 21st on when it ends.
Because there are people that want to talk about it? Occult things are fun to talk about, even if none of it is true.
