Hi so if you've read my possible reconversion thread/ topic then you would know as of late my friend Josh has been warming up more and more to My Little Pony as of late however last night he told me that now he was once again indifferent towards the show, he doesn't hate it but he told me that the show and fandom just aren't for him so I was wondering do you have any friends like this?
sounds just like my brother. He's seen the show a few times and he even drew a pony once. Not a fan of it though.
Yeah totally, he'll watch it if I have it on when I'm eating or something, but he will not actively try to watch it.
My friend Josh is the same he will watch it when he comes over to my house but he told me that he will no longer watch it at his house even though he also has The Hub.
My RL friends are indifferent. My friend Chris is always indifferent on my hobbies, except for Pokemon cause he plays it. Khrys (another friend) is really into anime, but is indifferent to MLP, he did post a Pinkie Pie picture on FB once. Ryan will never watch it, he says only gay people will watch it , but he watches anime though.
I never try to convince my friends to like it or shove it in their face. Every one of my friends knows I like it and they don't mind at all. If they want to watch it, that'd great. If not, no big deal. I did kind of show it off a lot to my best friend though. He never hated or questioned it from the beginning. He eventually became curious and we watched the whole Anthology II together. Then he started from episode 1 and now he's a brony too. It's nice to have someone to watch the new episodes with every Saturday.
I have couple of friends that are indifferent. Some tried the show, and just said that's not their thing. Some like the show, but not that much that they would become fans, or watch it regularly. And there are some that dislike the show completely (for various reasons). Most of my friends know that I'm brony (I don't hide it), and they are all fine with it, and I'm fine with whatever attitude towards the show they have.
Most of my friends are indifferent... sadly. But oh well, They'll have to suck it up that I like ponies.
This may come as a shock but not all of your friends have to be into ponies. Well over half of mine aren't. We all have our likes and dislikes and it's cool when people respect that.
Yeah. Liking ponies is just something that I do in my spare time. I think the show is funny and cute, and my good friends respect that.
I have a few Indifferent mates but being an ex Hater personally a vast majority don't like it all that much
I had a couple of friends like that. The first found his own interest in the fandom after a while, and now the other is beginning to actively watch episodes. (most likely not joining the fandom though. Too busy with life to even go on the computer most days.) It all varies on how much the individual enjoys the show... I say give it time. And if it is something that your friend is willing to invest into, then only time will tell.
Yeah. Most all of them dont care that I like the show, but they dont watch it either. Or at least no one's ever told me they do, and I dont try to force them. Alot of my friends are juggaloes anyway, so they cant really talk **** about 'silly fandoms' without being hypocritical. My brother however has seen the hotdiggitydemon .MOV series, and the MentallyAdvancedSeries (b'.')b
@ Alien: I am an ex-Juggalo, I now find the Psychopathic Records/ ICP obsession stupid. My ex-friend Ryan is a hardcore Juggalo, but speaks negatively about MLP, if he only know about all the negative things I hear often about Juggalos.
