In relation to asking how many you got, will we be allowed to ask who voted for us? I doubt I will myself, but I thought I'd mention it in case someone else asks.
I think it needs to be like an actual election, where you know the votes you got and how you did compared to everyone else, but you don't know who voted for you.
I don't need to know who voted for me, but I'd like to know. That way I can personally tell them they wasted a good vote.
I don't think I could vote on just 3 ponies ; A; Everypony's been so nice to me! I vote for all of them the end.
It's obviously Fluttershy, I have no idea if anyone named Fluttershy is in this community, but Fluttershy is always best pony except when it's Twilight. Or Pinkie. Or Rainbow Dash. Or Applejack. Or Rarity. Or Derpy. Or Luna. Or Spike.
Knowing how many people voted for you? Yes. Knowing WHO voted for you? Unless they specifically want to tell you they voted for you, no.
This, thank you, Ramza. I can imagine way too many problems that knowing who voted for you (and thus, who did not) could cause. Especially considering the ratio of votes to friends for most of us...
Yeah, I could see a lot of problems arising from knowing who voted for you. I think it's best to just keep it at being able to find out how many votes you got. Also, I'm surprised this obligatory quote hasn't been used yet, but I'm going to torture your eyes with it anyway (unless you're a fan of the series): "Good luck everypony! May the odds be ever in your favor."
I know the biggest problem it would cause. On a serious note, POPULARITY. On a still serious note, I'd like to know who voted for me, that way I can personally tell them I disagree with their decision and that it was a poor choice.
I'm going to laugh if you win. All the PM's you'll be sending out. Yet at the same time i would not be that surprised if you did - by not asking for votes, some people are going to vote for you.
yes, ironic and what not. Shame I'm being legitimately serious. If I have any votes I will be disappointed in those that did it. If I win, I will decline it. Seriously not funny.
For myself, I think you're nice and funny; I've always appreciated our talks. Would you really be so disappointed in me for expressing my opinion by giving you a single vote? I think you're just a normal person, no more or less "deserving" of a vote than anyone else.
Yes, yes I would. See if you vote for me in this silly little popularity contest, it means that you have taken a vote from another member that would actually enjoy this trivial award. Plus if your only reason to vote for me is based on being nice, funny and appreciated our talks, I think you've made a poor choice. I mean for one so many other people have done things that are leaps and bounds beyond me. There are people here that would actually enjoy getting a vote, but won't get them.
You could just ask to have your name excluded from the competition or something? Otherwise there isn't really any way to stop people potentially voting for you... You really dislike this award system xD
