Robot wars had the same idea as MLP does today - it's (sort of) aimed at younger kids but the adults enjoy it too. Craig Charles should get ponified.
While on Comedy Central, the announcers were the hosts of The Man Show. Difference... yes. I do recall some of the ceompetitors talking about the difference between the two, since one had to downgrade his bot a bit for BattleBots requirements from Robot Wars.
So, no pony has mentioned Razor yet? Really? That was such and elegant and beautiful machine. That thing attacking was like a snake sinking it's fangs into some pray. Or even Panic Attack, their first champion? It's a shame other robots over took that team really...
Wasn't panic attack the small red one that could flip over and still run? And it had a useless spike?
That was most likely Tornado. Panic Attack and Panic Attack II were simple, yellow robots with a pair of flipper forks on the front. That team were the reigning champions very early on in the show's life before nastier machines like Chaos II arrived.
Ah yeah, I remember them all now. I remember the 'worst' robots - there was one that was shaped like a big bubble fish thingy, and then there were things like Banshee and Pussycat which was just plain awesome.
I always struggle to remember the name of this one flipper robot that was covered in fur. It just didn't feel right if it wasn't set on fire at some point.
I think so. It's been ages since I've seen the show. There was a chromium one where the team dressed and acted like London Gangsters too I think. They always lost.
