Letters? HA! Twilight should just message Celestia on Facebook. "Hey Celestia! <3 Just a learned a SUPER kewl lesson in friendship! YOLO! bai." Ok, maybe not.
Honestly I prefer it this way. It makes the lessons seem more personal to the pony that learned them, and less like they're logging them for school research. Even though that's exactly what Twilight is doing but still.
Maybe Hasbro just wants you to think about it now, you know more like a see if you figured out what the lesson of the episode is type thing maybe that's what Hasbro is doing with the show now.
I picture Celestia just waiting patiently at the window for a letter, any letter. Sort of like me waiting for Tumblr messages!
Dear Princess White & Fluffy, I know you don't want to hear from me ever, and you'd rather just hold me in a dungeon, but I just have one question to ask your lovely self. Whatever happened to the breezies? Your Ever Free Sorcerer, Eight Star
well, I think that's really great and swell form AJ that she remembered to write to Celestia. Glad at least somepony still remembers her.
Yeah I was starting to think that the only friendship report this Season was going to be from Two Many Pinkie Pies glad to be proven wrong.
Probably to keep it from gething tiresome and predictable. Quite clever, actually. I do hope there'll be a letter every once in a while though.
I'm glad that the letters have become more infrequent. It allows for a greater diversity of plots, as there are only so many valid moral lessons that can be explored in a children's show. The device was fine when the show was young, but it has worn out its welcome somewhat.
I agree with this. I was actually thinking about this whole "not writing letters" thing the other day, and came up with the perfect explanation. Think Lesson Zero guys.
I'm okay with this. After all, it's not like the lack of letters makes the episodes less exciting. Everything else is the same, so why bother worrying about this small detail?
