    Well ACTUALLY, It is not specifically stated HOW the player became a pokemon, and it was gengar who was gardevoirs trainer who ended up with the curse.

    CC, I didn't mean "Throw" literally, and I'm pretty sure I remember her saying in one of the dream scenes that she'd brought you there. She explains that she appeared to you when you're a human, asking you to help save the pokemon world from natural disasters, to which you reply that you don't think you have it in you, the ability to do it. The game up to when you get to Sky Tower, I believe, was a test of sorts to see if you really were the one with the power to save the world from the meteorite. She wipes your memory by your own request, so when you wake up, you know nothing, starting afresh...

    I think that's how it went, anyway... But I' pretty sure it's said that gardevoir brought you to the world.
