I agree with you 100 percent, my friend. I love a whole bunch of weather. I love lightning the most, but I also like things like foggy/misty weather. As you said, it has a certain ambience to it. Believe me, it's not only a British thing, I hear lot of people whiiining whenever it's raining. They just don't understand that without the rain, they'd have to worry about drought and fire danger. Some people just take it for granted. I don't mind sunny weather either, as long as it isn't always sunny, then it gets boring. I even like snowy weather too sometimes, although I hate the cold. Heck, I even find fires interesting sometimes. I've watched videos of forest fires that aren't affecting people, and they look, for some reason, pretty to me. Same with tornadoes and lightning. They're beautiful, yet deadly. I had a small chance of getting struck today, but my number didn't come up this time. So, I know it isn't smart to go outside and try to video lightning, but I just love it too much. I'm willing to take the risk. If I ever got struck and died from a storm, although that'd be horrible, I'd die doing what I love.
I dont like the Big Storms, just the soft rain, the one where you can get out and feel the soft raining in your face and refresh you after a super hot day =), because here, in Mexico, his too much hot!!; is a miracle when rain here, and one enjoy all the rain because is something not usual =)
@Testyal1: lol XD But I may as well intrest everypony in Canadian weather I've experienced, seeing that it's the topic! Summer's heat... not too bad really, I'd guess normal. Rain: also pretty normal, can be pretty long in BC though. Freezing Rain: ...actually, that one's not a good thing ever. But it doesn't always get that bad.. Wind: I like the wind, actually.... I am a bit of a poser after all XD Winter: Now, I can say a fair amount about this one. It takes up varied amounts of time differing on the province... but in the worst areas from what I heard they don't see sunlight for days (waay up north, the territories) I can't say too much of winter in BC, having been in the city and fairly young then. But I was in Sasketchewan during the last blizzard, and it was really bad. The snow got up to the neck and higher sometimes, and I think the tempratures were around -40. In Alberta/Sasketchewan, -30 can easily be reached during winter though. Additionally, dryer areas in Alberta and Sasketchewan (not sure about other provinces) are likely to have large forest fires. Earlier this year for example, one huge on burned down nearly half of a nearby city/town (Slave Lake), and the city/town near where I live (Westlock) had to take in some people made homeless by the fire. However, such powerful fires are rare. Also, there is sometimes flooding, but not where I live. In Manitoba, some areas get badly flooded, consistently each year. Actually, Slave Lake flooded after the fire... I hope I didn't make too long of a post for general chat XD Anyways, that's all I have to say about weather for quite a while!
Snow...................Here in Mexico had no snow since...........1998 XD, I miss the Snow, I like it too XD
There's a field by me, and when it snows there, it's simply beautiful. It's a vast, untouched white sheet, it's such a nice thing to see. However, the streets of Cardiff are anything but. Sleet everywhere, trouble walking without falling over, that kind of grey snow you get when all the dirt from the cars mixes in with it... I'm not a fan of city life. Snow is a naturally beautiful thing, so the city kind of ruins it.
When I get snow, my driveway becomes WAY too slick with ice. I still try to walk on it though, because it's really fun to slide around!
Jumping head first never works for me, I bash my head into the ground. My area doesn't get that much snow so I need to find really deep snow....
I like the way the snow looks, and we do get a copious amount of it up here at times, but it's such a pain to clean sometimes. Especially if it's the so-called "heavy snow" (with a high moisture content). Not the dry, fluffy snow. That's easy.
Reminds me of that time my friend threw a snowball at my other friend's head, but it turned out to be a white rock.
Ah snowball fights, so much fun...especially when I compact it so much that it feels like a rock...heheheh....
Moonwalk? hahah LOL Zephyr, at least I can skate on ice when I want, because there is a ice rink in a mall, and I like go smetimes to skate...............wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!! XD
wow!!!, snow everywere, looks nice =) I wish here snow like that oops, i mistake, sounds like for the corrupte wishes threat XD haha
