Hooray, someone agrees with me! I used to not mind her too much, but now I'm disliking her more as each episode passes. #unpopularopinions
I see Rainbow as a character with layers. She is generally more sensitive and caring than she let's across. Kinda a reverse Fluttershy, who are way tougher than she seems, comparig them to candy, Fluttershy has a soft shell with a hard layer on the inside. Rainbow has a hard shell and is soft on the inside. You have to work to get through that shell, but is worth it for what you find underneath. In the same way, if you are to hasty with Fluttershy, her tough core may break your jaw because it is not something you would be expecting. Don't judge a pony by their cover.
Rainbow dash may be like third or fourth on my list of favorite ponies, but, she isn't mean, but egotistical at times. I have no problem with her, and the bronies I talk to (real life) don't have a problem with her. She's like Fluttershy's Drill instructor, sure, she is mean sometimes and pushes fluttershy pass her boundries some times, but oh well, she is just trying to teach Fluttershy her real potential and power!
Huh, I at first I thought this thread was started today, because there's been a lot of negativity towards Dash the last few days. Apparently this is not new. Honestly I can't really remember any episode where Dashie has been malicious or mean. She brags, she has a rather brusque demeanor sometimes, and she's very blunt. But mean? I don't see it.
Flutters is prolly more dandere than yandere, since when she goes loco it doesn't involve someone she loves. :3
Maybe not my favorite pony but i love her character. I also concur with you about how she attempts to push fluttershy out of her comfort zone i think their friendship is great and Dashie is a wonderful pony, anyone who does have a problem with her should really analyze her character and motives again.
