Law VII:Thou shalt not disgrace or disregard our mighty Goddesses. Law VIII: Thou shalt tolerate and love exuberantly, in a way fitting to you, those who wish to slander the Herds principles and preferences Law IX: Thou shalt not turn thy head away from anypony who wishes to join the herd, regardless of previous slander or hate of the Herd. That's ridiculous. Part of the show's morals is to be who you want to be. If a freaking turtle wanted to be an Alicorn, we should support it as bronies. "Law VIII: Thou shalt tolerate the fecal matter out of those who wish to slander our principles and preferences" No. first of all, shouldn't include "tolerate the fecal matter out of..." in laws of such an amazing religion because it's hipster internet lingo "unworthy" of the Laws of Harmonism xD lol. Second, we should be ready hoofs stomped into the ground defending our faith and love for this community and fandom. Not just take it lying down, yknow? Like that episode where Fluttershy was learning not to be a doormat. There needs to be moderation in such things, not just being like Okayface.jpg whenever someone puts down what you love. Sometimes it requires enlightenment on the insulting side of the party. Other than those which i pointed out, i think it's great and should change my facebook religion to Harmonism xD
well thanks for your feedback. I Appreicate what you said about those two laws... i hadnt thoughtof the fluttershy eipsode before in the context of this. I will see if i can better word what we were trying to capture with those two. I think the one about regarding the goddesses was going along the idea of what rainbow dash says in the return of harmonyy "NO body talks about our princess like that!" The other one was trying to encourage people to not react harshly to haters (doesnt work well) need to reword it. I will work on these later today. Thanks for your feedback!
AxiomaticGeek Has a point. It seemed like a good idea at the time but you do have good reasoning backing it... Guess I kind of over did it. I'll remember to keep an even head while thinking about this... We're highly encouraging any helpful ideas or advice from others. Like I said in the chat, I'll friggin make this an official religon as long as I have the necessary resources backing me. The Jewish and Christian bible was not made by a single person. It was the stories and ideas of many.

Reminds me of this thing I made a while back. Commandments of Harmony Thou shall be kind to others and treat them with respect. Thou shall be generous and share your property with the ones in need. Thou shall be loyal to your friends, family and partner. Thou shall be honest and do not deny your true feelings. Thou shall have a sense of humor and always strive to make others happy. Thou shall always strive to improve yourself and always seek the best of the people closest to you. This seems good, though some nitpicks. Law III: Thou shalt not look upon any pony with eyes of lust. As a clopper, I can't approve of this. I think real world religion has shown that denying your sexuality is wrong. Controling lust is important, but an outright ban is just evil. I know it is similiar to a statement by Jesus i the new testament, but the purpose of that verse was to show that it is impossible for humans to be without sin. I am attracted to Rainbow Dash, I fully admit that, but I do have great respect for her and I love her. I suggest the following mending. Law III: Thou shalt not look upon any pony with eyes of lust alone, but also with the eyes of love. I am a student of theology, just so you know, and I feel this mending is closer to Jesus words at the mountain sermon, if that was your intention. I probably take this alot more seriously than I should as I have worked with religious texts alot. Take it or leave it. I may found a protestant pony religion if it comes down to that Overall I am quite impressed, I may come pack for more nitpicks later if I feel like it.

Works for me, weird how just one word can chance the meaning of a verse. We think quite differently about marriage, I tend to have a disdain for rituals and think that love is love and that a ritual is not what makes it legit. However it is fine to have different opinions. I am essentially a hypocrite for preaching free sexuality while practising what is almost celibacy anyway. I shall analyse the rest of the commandments, but they look mostly fine to me. The "Yay" one is weird, but if taken with a grain of salt it is quite humerous.
