Actually it's in two weeks and two days. Once again they're skipping a week and we won't get a new episode this week.
Yep As Tempest Said, the schedule for new episodes is like this 2/2 No New Episode 2/9 Season 3 Episode 12 "The Games Ponies Play" 2/16 MLP Marathon ending with Season 3 Finale "Magical Mystery Cure" *Which is somehow both a freaky friday cutie mark switching ep and a corrination ep.... calling it now, even if its good it'll be SUPER RUSHED! XD* And then theres the indefinite possibly longest ever drought between seasons 3 & 4 *considering how the season ends though thats probably a good thing, give some of the neigh-sayers time to blow off steam* But at least we have the monthly comics to tide us over via IDW. So thats nice.
I really doubt they'll make us wait as long for season 4 as they did for season 3. For one thing, they were finished making all the episodes for season 3 last February, so they've had FAR more than enough time not only to finish season 4 but to make it longer than season 1 and 2 combined.
Don't be so sure, writing for Season 4 only started in 2012, and the Voice Actors only signed on for season 4 a couple of weeks ago *Go check DHN if you don't believe me* The wait for season 4 may very well be the longest yet. I would not be surprised at all if Season 4 didn't start till January of 2014. Again I could be wrong, but again, we will just have to wait & see. At the very least I don't see it starting any earlier then season 3 did, and thats if we are lucky. But again we will merely have to wait & see! I am however curious about this 3-part special DHX media was supposedly working on, so at the very least we may get a fun special sometime during the summer. But again we will have to wait & see. But yes sufficed to say they have had the actual episodes WRITTEN for quite a while *supposedly* but we have had no confirmation that they have done the animation & voice acting. And again Hasbro just officially renewed their contract a couple weeks ago *but that doesn't always mean much as for example when Toonami first came back Steve Blum was voicing TOM for free in his spare time and didn't get a legit pay or contract till months later...so yeah* Anywho we will just have to wait & see what news we get once season 3 wraps up and the CON season begins. Lets hope its good! *knock on wood*
I try to never fall prey to fan-rumors and hype, but in light of all the recent evidence, I suppose I'll be seeing a winged Twilight at the end of Season 3. Of course, like most of you, I'm certain that it's not going to be permanent. I already had a couple theories way before I looked through here. Allow me to share them (disclaimer: these are hypothetical situations and I claim none of them to be absolute, each is an option for a different outcome).: 1.) Twilight is secretly an alicorn. Her wings haven't shown up yet because A: an alicorn must grow their wings magically (speculation, I'm not claiming it as fact) B: Celestia cast a spell to make Twilight's wings vanish when she was just a foal (evil character might have been seeking to kill her because of some weird prophecy about her birth, sorta like in Harry Potter). 2.) Twilight is secretly a princess. Yes, I'm going "Princess Diaries" here. In order to let Twilight have a more normal childhood, her royalty was kept secret from her, and everypony else. Only her parents, Celestia, Luna, and possibly Cadence would know. She was being foal-sitted by a princess after all, might be something there. Granted, I still see no proof that being an alicorn automatically equals royalty. We don't know much about alicorns since the show doesn't feature much information about them. In that case, I could also speculate that Twilight might sprout wings, but won't be automatically royal because of it. 3.) I personally believe that in either of the two cases listed above, Twilight will not keep her wings in the end. Actually, I have a feeling it could all be another lesson in friendship from Trollestia. "Here ya go, Twilight Sparkle, my faithful student. Got yourself some nifty wings now. You're gonna get super alicorn powers and be super-powerful and live in Canterlot with me again, leaving behind your best friends who you now outshine completely with your brand-new powers. That's not gonna be a problem, is it?..." :Trollestia: Rather than leave her friends and take on all the responsibility that Celestia is offering, Twilight will turn down the power and stay in Ponyville with her cherished group of besties. After all, friendship is magic l-) Well, that's what I would hope anyway.. I don't mind seeing her with wings as long as they are gone in the end. Even though that still leaves another possibility.. 4.) She actually keeps the wings... Yeah, I hope it doesn't come to this, but Twilight is the ever-faithful student and she might wind up following along with the idea and accepting the honor. Still, I doubt she'd ever leave her friends behind. She'd probably end up bringing them all to Canterlot with her, or at least suggesting the idea. It would be very difficult to uproot so many families just for the sake of returning to Canterlot to go do alicorn things with Celestia. In any case, let's hope it never comes to that. I mean, I'll trust the writers to do their best if it does come to that, but when I remember how disappointed I was with "Keep Calm and Flutter On," I do begin to feel a little nervous. 5.) the one idea that I'm surprised to see nopony thought of yet x3 I believe there's a possibility that the winged Twilight seen in the promotional shots is actually... wait for it....... a dream sequence. Yes, I think it's very possible that we are seeing a dream in which Twilight has become an alicorn. Hasbro could still make all the toys it wanted because of this, and it wouldn't do any harm to the show, or her character, in any way. As you can see, there are a ton of different possibilities, and there's probably others I could have listed as well. Thing is, it's never good to jump to conclusions, and the show has taught us this lesson many times. As respectable members of the herd, let's not lose our heads over this. Keep calm and brony on
Rainbow Dash is all like.... "WHY MUST THESE ANIMALS TORTURE ME SO!!!?" Also, Equestrian Society really sucks if your cutie mark does indeed determine how you have to live your life.... maybe its not such a bad thing if the CMC stay blank flanks forever, those gals have to much potential to be landlocked to one occupation. Also..yeah.... Poor Dash *hugs Dashie*
I think I can sum up this whole Twilicorn thing in seven words. Spoiler: Tiny bit of language I mean really, guys, it's a TV show. I think it's being taken a -bit- too seriously here.
"Twilight Sparkle unexpected discovers her own destiny" sure sounds permanent to me. Unless the destiny is to be a regular unicorn forever...
Just heard that the writers says this was there own idea and was not a commercial ploy by Hasbro. Thats a major relief.
Who knows.. I've seen other princess ponies floating around stories, one of which may explain the whole princess coronation thing.. Heck maybe Cadence and Shining Armor have a kid lol Or Celestia lol I am just gonna stick with the theory that I won't know anything until the show airs
I'd sorta like that to be true... <------ just realizing what i said is stupid i mean i sorta wish that's not true.
