I just want more people to know about this fandom and get people to talk about it and yes it is rather amusing that a large portion of the Petter Fandom like me are also in the Brony fandom but I wonder what the female fans will be called though?
For those interested not only does this show have several MLP FiM voice actresses voicing characters on LPS and lyrical music composed by Daniel Ingram but Littlest Pet Shop was created by Julie Mcnally Cahill and Timothy Cahill who before working on and creating this show also created and worked on My Gym Partner's a Monkey. Also while I thought that My Gym Partner's a Monkey was just a ok or decent show I think that Littlest Pet Shop is awesome and more people should check it out so the Petter Fandom can grow although if you don't become a fan but still like the show that's ok too.
For those interested I made a Topic of The Week blog were I go into more detail about this subject go check it out.
Interesting! I remember My Gym Partner's A Monkey! Loved that show Idk i think LPS can come nowhere near the certain...something that MLP portrays. Nothing ever will. It's a single, "axiomatic" entity (;
My thoughts of the show is very positive, but I doubt it would get to the caliber of MLP in either attention or in my own eyes. MLP is my 2nd favorite hobby after music and I enjoy it a lot. It will be hard to get that interest level. But LPS is still a good show in my eyes and I want to watch more to give it it's deserved respect.
On top of that LPS has only been out for three months while MLP FiM has been out for two years but I think that with time it will start to grow and become really big but not as big and popular as the Brony fandom that's what I see happening but not for a while anyway.
Apparently the LPS fandom has become the fandom with multiple fandom names on top of Petters which is the fandom name that i've heard being used the most i've also heard Pet Shop Bros and yesterday on a LPS video somebody referred to themself as a Pet Shopper.
Yesterday I decided to refer to myself as a Pet Shopper from now on instead of a Petter just letting y'all know that.
Bring'em on! We can take'em!...JK! I've only seen one episode of LPS but I still cant see it gaining a huge fandom. However, if you would have told me a few years ago that MLP has a huge adult fan base I would have laughed at you. So, we'll see what happens.
You never know after all a large percentage of Petters/ Pet Shoppers/ Pet Shop Bros since i've heard people refer to themselves as one of these fandom names on Deviantart fan art pictures and LPS related Youtube videos are also Bronies so it could get big but I don't think it will happen for a while.
Yesterday Thepetshopinsider.blogspot.com has changed to Thepetshopinsider.com I know it's a very small piece of information but I still find it interesting.
I've never watched LPS, and that is unlikely to change. The main reason I first watched MLP was Lauren Faust (I grew up watching The Powerpuff Girls.) I don't want to sound rude or dismissive, but I've looked into the show, and have found nothing that makes it stand out against the sea of mediocrity that is modern animation. If I'm wrong, tell me what I missed.
Well first of all you got cute animals, second of all you got Ashleigh Ball, Brian Drummound, Cathy Weseluck, Kathleen Barr, Nicole Oliver, Peter New, Samuel Vincent, Shannon Chan Kent and Tabitha St. Germain all voicing characters on this show as well as MLP FiM and third of all you've got Daniel Ingram composing catchy lyrical music on both this show and MLP FiM.
Hasbro is trying to hard to make LPS popular in the same way MLP is. But you just can't force something like this. MLP became as popular as it out of irony at first. Haters told us it's uncool to like a cute adorable show, so we just loved it more in rebellion. Anyway I haven't seen LPS, for all I know it's awesome.
I just watch S1-Ep1&2. Animation- 9/10 Voice Acting- 6/10 Story- 4/10 Overall, I was less than impressed. Still, this is just my opinion.
