One of my least favorite episodes, tbh. In fact, what was Lauren thinking? Pinkie Pie would have scared me *squee!*less if i was a little girl...
well, is was a good episode, funny because Pinkie are following their friends "looking for asnwers", and the interrogatorie to spike make it more fun XD,..............but then her breakdown make me sad.......I never thought they gonna make something like that, Pinkie.....is not smoething choking to me, was fun too, pinkie talking whit rocks and flavour XD. The only thing that make me feel........bad or shocked (well, as I know) is that this episode is the one that create the terrible think like "Cupcakes" and the others thinks, its true?? or Im wrong?? that Cupcakes was made for that espisode??
I thought the same thing. The breakdown was kinda over the top. Maybe that's just the older audience thinking. Little girls might not have been known what was going on.
As what the others said, a favorite episode of mine as well as I got to see Pinkie lose it and then just be herself. Oh, and if you're looking for a weird meme, go to memebase.com and check the bronies section. There was a comic about how Rocky was made. As it turns out, Rarity met a giant rock and got married to it. The final panel ends with Pinkie Pie at her party while talking to Rocky and saying "And that's where you came from." LOL
My thoughts exactly, and let me explain. I ENJOYED Party of One; I really did. On its own, it's funny, and it put a smile on my face. But in the larger context of the entire series, it kind of ruined Pinkie Pie's character for me, and what makes things difficult is that it isn't some ridiculous fanfic, it's a canon episode. These writers are not stupid. They clearly have an idea of what they're doing, and honest effort was put into making Party of One unnecessarily creepy. Listen to the music when Pinkie becomes visibly suspicious, look at how the background changes when she twitches during Gummy's party. The other ponies are depicted not as nervous about the surprise being uncovered, but as genuinely fearful of their good friend; Applejack has a barely-concealed "Please don't kill me" expression whenever Pinkie stares at her, Rainbow Dash all but cowers when she sees the state Pinkie's in (her ears even fold back), and all five breathe a collective sigh of relief when Pinkie goes back to normal, as if they're happy to still be alive. Every one of the main six has had lapses in their personas over the course of the show, and Pinkie Pie certainly can't be expected to be cheerful 24/7; if her account in Episode 23 is to be believed (and there's no solid reason for it not to be), she hasn't always been. But this is different. Pinkie is depicted here as the kind of pony whose depression is so severe she becomes delusional, hallucinatory, and reclusive. It's hardly a jump to conclude that if Rainbow Dash hadn't shown up, she never would have left her room again. It's probably meant to be funny, and like I said, in a lot of ways it is, but when held up against Pinkie in preceding and following episodes, it becomes very distracting, and possibly even damaging to the intended viewer perception.
I've finally got around to watching this episode, and.....wow. That was really dark, pinkie losing it was pretty freaky. It was interesting though, we've always seen pinkie as a fun loving, completely random and adorable, but here she shows a side that is a little weird.
I really like the Crazed Pinky pie,Anybody else notice that their hats at the end match their cutie marks?
Hi, guys. I was wondering if anyone has an idea about the background music that plays during Pinkie's party? I know it played sometime during Season 1 as well, I think at the party where Applebloom didn't want to go (and where the Cutie Mark Crusaders were formed)? I tried looking for it on YouTube but I think I got my search terms wrong.
I knew I got the search terms wrong. I kept on typing in "pinkie pie party background music" and nothing came up. Didn't realize this was from the Crusaders were on their adventures, cause I was too caught up with what they were doing to notice the background music. Thanks!!
This was the very first episode I ever saw on July 09, 2011, the very same episode that made me a Brony.
The episode that sealed me in the bottom of the pit of a brony and Pinkie pie becoming my favorite. those were the best moments of my life. Pinkie and I do snap in similar ways
I agree this episode sealed the deal with me too on being a brony. I like the idea of Pinkie having an alter-ego but now there is way too many creepypastas about Pinkiamena. O.O looks at cupcakes O.O
This was the very first episode of the show I saw and thus is the one most responible if not completly responsible for me being a Brony.
Pinkamena is one of the most "interesting" characters the fandom somehow has created. One of my favorite episodes. Pinkamena's mad scenes are some of the best in the entire show. Just epic.
