Where is Scootaloo's Parents?

Well, as far as I know, there has been no official statement on the whereabouts or identities of Scootaloo's parents. So this isn't like the Apples where they been officially confirmed to have passed on. Personally, I think their alive, but don't really do much of importance. I mean we know that Sweetie Belle and Rarity's parents are still alive and kicking, but they only ended up on screen once. Well, twice if you count the little cameo by Sweetie's father in One Bad Apple.

 

I'm surprised she hasn't just straight up adopted RD as a parental figure.

 

She kinda did, didn't she?

 

well, we know that she's single child (since she said that she'd love to have a sister (or brother)).
however, as far as parents go, there's no official statement or hints. Maybe they are somewhere around, or in another city, so they sent Scootaloo to Ponyville to school (maybe Ponyville has better schools), or maybe she just spends so much time outdoors on her scooter or with CMC that she's barely home.

 

My theories....

1. Scootaloo is part of a single parent family, her dad is a royal guard and always busy, thus why she's never seen at her home
2. She's an Orphan, who will eventually be officially adopted by Dashie.
3. we'll cross that bridge when we get there *when the writers decide what they wanna do*

 

I've thought that same thing i always thought they were business pony's and were all ways gone.

 

Or it could be one of those things where it's a CARTOON and not every aspect of every character is included in the show, that way making it more engaging? Yea that could be it. *cough* squidwards parents *cough* a billion years of spongebob still no appearance *cough cough*

 

Nobody knows. Although I've never really gave it much thought, since you don't see any of the ponies' families very much, save for the Apple family.

So really all we can do is wait and see, or you can always come up with your own explanation.

 

That might work if MLP:FIM in part wasn't a show about Family, and Friendship, and you know just bonds between people, er ponies and how those grow/change/break/form etc over time.... Just sayin.

But I do agree overall until it becomes relevant to the story Scootaloo's parents or lack there of is irrelevant in the big scheme of things, but it does need to be addressed someday.

In MLP FiM They use a LOT Of Character development, it's one of those cartoons where you just can't find an error in the story (That often anyway). They even showed Rainbow dashs dad/brother in one scene, Pinkie pies, Twilights, I'm not so sure about Fluttershy, but they did for rarity too.

They also give good excuses for things, like how when Big Mac was hurt and AppleJack had to do it all herself, Twilight asked "What about all those family members?" she replied "They were just here for the reunion".

MLP Doesn't leave details out, so i'm sure season 4 or later we might get this explained.

 

While there is currently no proof it is heavily implied in the show that she is a orphan.

 

I think it was kind of hinted at in Sleepless in Ponyville. Why else would Scootaloo want Rainbow Dash to take her under her wing if she already had a family?

 

This could be the case but noone/ pony really knows.

 

where are anyones parents? the closest to actual parents are older sisters and grannysmith being grandmother but no mothers or fathers
