@ Tempest Wind, I am now one sad pony, Hot Topic gave me a bunch of Hot Cash coupons and I haven't used them, and now I think they have expired. Could have received either two extra vinyl figures (Fluttershy & Applejack) or all the pony earphones except for Rainbow Dash. Crud :'( OT: I am contemplating putting my merchs picture up. I own three shirts, the reversible Derpy /Rainbow dash backpack. I own a vinyl figure of Rainbow dash, I have a bag full of mysterbag and small figures of mlp. I own two Fluttershy figures (one with the big pink wings, one normal) the rainbow dash small bag. A rainbow dash plushie (small) and a pinkypie plush (medium) and finally, mlp fim cards. Lol i have a lot of stuff x.x
I'm not big on merchandise but I do have a few ponies. I've repainted two of them so I didn't include them in the shot. Dashie came from the Cloudsdale set and I gave Gilda and the Wonderbolt away with some gift cards for a raffle. Rarity and Rainbow Wishes were from blind bags. DT, AB, and AJ came from the the Class of Cutie Marks set.

Actually, there are a lot more canon characters in the blind bags than you might think. I know because I went through the wiki and cross referenced all the blind bags produced so far, and I was surprised at how many weren't recolors. Just to name a few: Junebug, Noteworthy, Sea Swirl, Golden Harvest, Golden Delicious, Twilight Velvet, Twilight Sky, Lemon Hearts, Roseluck...they're all background characters that have appeared in the show before. Except Twilight Velvet, that is actually Twilight's mom.
I just got a new addition as an early birthday present. Best pony in plushie form. This is the best quality plushie I have; amazing work done on her.
Spoiler: Cheyenne I bought a couple of the blind bags and one of them was Shoeshine (the AJ recolor). I painted her mane and tail with Testors enamel and made her cutie mark (a Chevy logo) with decal film. I named her after the truck because I had a 1:24 die cast Cheyenne. Spoiler: G4 Firefly G4 Firefly made from Flitterheart. I used Tamiya acrylic for the mane, tail, and cutie mark. The eyes were printed on Testors decal film and were from generalzoi's Pony Creator. Her eyelashes were a major pain in the ass to do but worth the effort. I used a piece of wire and black acrylic.
Oh my god. These are awesome and you should feel awesome. I especially love Firefly (although Cheyenne is also a pretty sweet concept), that shiny acryllic mane is simply gorgeous. They should make all blind bags like this. God damn. I would totally buy dat Firefly off of you if I lived in the US (or if you didn't mind shipping all the way to bloody Romania). You did a proper job there mate. I really hope we get to see more. (Here's an idea: what about painting Luna in her canon colours?)
Fun fact: Blind bags seem to be made in 1:24 scale, normal brushables in 1:10 and fashion style climb up 1:5 Source, the accepted pony size of 3 feet tall up to head plus quick maths... Talking Celestia an cadance are 1:5 and 1:3.75 respectively (Cadance is shorter than Celestia, but both talking toys are of same mold for body) The Canterlot Princeses set (Celly, Lulu and Cadence) seem to be the most next to 1:10 scale.
Man...I've been looking through some deviantart pages and such for custom toys and plushies, most are kinda "ehh" but there are a few that are truly, ridiculously amazing. aaaand they want stupid amounts of money for them lol. I've actually been thinking about picking up some acryllic model paint and painting a spare blind bag pony in show accurate colors, maybe doing my OC or something. We'll see. Actually I just had an idea, I might see about doing pony out of polished aluminum or stainless steel. It would be 2-D, like a silhouette or something. It would take some skill and time to make it look nice though, seeing as how we don't have a waterjet or laser, but I think it's doable.
