I've always dreamed about designing my own house. I have many fantastical ideas that I'd just love to put in motion, such as a home-theater packed with beanbags, rooms based off of my favorite decades, a music conservatory, a revolving door that says "pull," secret passageways, a gaming lounge, and so on and so forth. I've got several concepts inside my head
Sounds like a good idea, like both the home theater room & the music conservatory (want one myself). Speaking of music, what genres do you prefer?
Mainly Classic Rock. My favorite band is The Beatles. I also love Classical music (symphonic mostly, but also solo pieces and small chamber groups), Celtic Rock, various Euro Pop and J-Pop (including anime theme-songs), Trance music, Reggae, Big-Band Jazz, Swing and Blues, Folk Tunes, Bluegrass, a bit of new Country music, Malt-Shop Oldies, Hard Rock, Arena Rock, a bit of 80s Metal (like those hair bands that were crazy as hell xD). Actually, you'll find I love the music from basically every decade between 1920 and 1990. On the flip side, I have very little interest in most of the music you'll find on the top charts today. There are very few new bands or artists that I care about at all. I despise gangsta rap, hip-hop, alternative rock, and any new pop icon that falls into the "pretty boy" category (I gave Bieber a completely unbiased chance but I am simply unable to like him. 1-D have better singing voices than him in my opinion, but their fan-base is insane and I got sick of them chewing me out for not worshiping them >.>). Sometimes I'll have to sit "on the fence" for some new form of entertainment. I'm still on the fence for Lady Gaga. On one hand, I think she's got a great set of pipes and I like that she can actually play an instrument. On the other hand, some of her songs sound absolutely horrible and I can't stand her freaky wardrobe. Seems like a cry for help. I guess I have a love-hate relationship with her. Another one I'm on the fence with is Dubstep. Sometimes I hear the wubs and think it's great stuff, but listening to too much of it just gives me a headache. As a last note, I really like the whole "take audio from ordinary speech or dialogue and autotune it into a song" fad that can be seen frequently on Youtube. A prime example would be several fan-made MLP-based songs that used dialogue from the show ("Fluttershy's Lament" anypony?) but another excellent example would be the Symphony of Science music videos. Those little gems are just ear-candy to me; they sound amazing and really mellow me out.
So, basically me in a nutshell? Only noticeable difference is that I like 'some' rap (mainly 90s & early 2000s), but most new rap I hate, save for a few like Wiz Khalifa, Odd Future, & Rick Ross. But I am mostly a rock fan (PUNK & METAL), and some dubstep is good, but I prefer Trance. Like you, dubstep can give me a headache. What anime do you like?
Nothing too dark or depressing if I can help it. I love cute, cute is awesome On the other hand, I thought that "Puella Magi Madoka Magica" was beautiful. Sure I felt like I needed to hug a pillow or something since it can be so tragic, but I can respect a story that's as well-done as that one. Granted, I'll always prefer something comical. I like to think my viewing list has decent variety to it. I can enjoy dark action shows like "Helsing" as well as the cute characters and their random conversations/activities in "Lucky Star." "Sgt. Frog" is another one of my favorites, as well as "Hayate the Combat Butler." Comedy romance is fun like that, never too sappy and always cute l-) My sister once told me she thought it was crazy how I could have a blast watching a zombie movie, (whooping it up and shouting for more blood) and then watch MLP in the same day, fawning over how cute Fluttershy is. Yeah, I like to think I'm balanced like that l3
*pokes the thread with a stick* I'm still happy to provide answers to your various inquiries you know l3
