Spin-Off, doesnt effect the mane show... get your info straight before yea freak out people...shessh.
This is just silly in my opinion, it doesn't look right. Oh well, no need to fret, it won't affect season 4 so let's just be happy about that. It wouldn't hurt anyone to at least check it out. Right?
What are they doing with their franchise!? Wow, I hope that works... But I doubt it will. If it doesn't, I'll be annoyed everytime I visit the pony isle and see humans. xP ... Gah.
What show? FiM? If so then congratulations, you HAVE avoided it. This is a spinoff, it is not canon to the show itself. FiM itself will not change; Equestria will be human-free as always.
Yeah its sad how negative people are being towards the spin-off when it won't even air for months and we don't have any official pics yet, we don't even know if the "leaked" pic is the final product. I remember when Lauren Faust & Rob Renzetti started work on MLP:FIM back in 09 and everyone called em sale outs for working on a My Little Pony cartoon and said it would suck no matter what, and look how that turned out. I mean I doubt this spin-off will be as good as the mane series, but could still be a decent toon overall.
Well, whatever the case, I'm sure we'll see some previews for it during the season finale this Saturday. If they don't have any previews for it, then I'll be more inclined to believe this is actually fake. I really, REALLY hope this isn't fake, because I don't think I've EVER been this excited about a series that hasn't even premiered yet.
I dunno about that they didn't show any preview for season 3 at the end of season 2, the magazine the info is from is legit, its an industry magazine called KidScreen. But the image leaked could be faked. Hasbro is premiering Equestria Girls at a "Pink Carpet" even at this years My Little Pony Panel at comi-con *my guess is industry only* But hopefully we will get some info on it at the public panel, on top of season 4 of Friendship Is Magic. But yeah we just have to wait and see how it turns out. If they keep it in the same spirit of the mane series it could be good, if they try to make it a shameless Monster High Rip-off, not so much. But yeah just have to wait, see and hope for the best! *knock on wood!*
To be perfectly honest, I find the prospect of this being an actual show absolutely horrifying: it sounds more like a cheap attempt at a cash-in than anything else. I know that I am jumping to conclusions much too early and that it may end up becoming an excellent show just like Friendship is Magic (if it is actually real and not just a large-scale troll), but one of the reasons that I fell in love with the show was that fact that it wasn't set in our world, the characters weren't human and they generated a very interesting universe and mythology for their setting. Transporting the ponies to our world seems utterly contrived, and I really have trouble seeing it as anything other than a lazy cash grab by Hasbro. I am aware that it will not affect the mane show (or at least it better not), but just the knowledge that something like this was created is enough to send me into a fit of rage. And this is coming from someone who thinks that alicorn Twilight is actually an interesting development.
Touche. It's of no matter as long as it does not affect FiM itself. I'll probably watch at least one episode if it does turn out to be real.
Yep and that is where the odd duck lies, either the article got its date wrong, or it meant Spring of 2014, you can never really tell with stuff like this. We do know at the very least the 66 minute pilot film will air sometime this year, again we just have to see what Info comes our way during the coming months. But yeah I don't think we will get a preview for it during the season finale, there is NO indication of that, if anything a preview wouldn't come any earlier then March and even thats a stretch. But yeah we just have to wait & see what happens.
Why would there be any indication of whether or not it'll be advertised during the finale? The previews they give us are for the finale, not the commercials. Besides, a season finale of one of their hottest shows is the strategically perfect time to start advertising whatever new shows are coming out that year, because it's one of the times when they're most likely to have a lot of people watching. After all, they didn't show any commercials for Care Bears until the Canterlot Wedding episode, but during the episode they had ads in abundance, because that was a major event with a lot more viewers than the average new episode. It's just the most intelligent thing to do from a marketing standpoint: if you want to make sure your viewers see your ads, show the ads during one of your biggest viewing events where a majority of your fans will be viewing all at once.
