I never said it would be bad, just that it looked bad. I don't typically judge things, but I can say I do not have high hopes for this series.
If it's a spin-off, have fun with that, but all I can say is that even if this turns into something watchable, I don't want it anywhere near my MLP.
I'm looking forward to getting more information about this. The main reason I fell in love with the show wasn't because I'm particularly obsessed with small horses. I love the show for the characters, the zany situations, the voice acting, and the humor. Depending on who's involved with this, I think it could turn out to be quite enjoyable. I'll definitely give it a chance. I'm certainly not going to say this will kill the fandom, and if it does, it was a spoiled, entitled fandom in the first place. I love bronies, I love being a brony, but why we have to get so upset about something like this is a bit beyond me. Mis/under-representation of other races in the media is a poignant and legitimate concern in media, if only for being an inaccurate view of the world and not solely as a race issue. I can assert that, as a non-white person, I'd very much appreciate seeing more black, hispanic, asian, native american, etc. characters permeate the media in a way that doesn't merely capitalize on or emphasize their race, but merely as characters who happen not to be white. It's not just a petty concern people raise when they want to start a fuss. But, that aside, I'd like to see them being colored akin to their pony counterparts, just because that would bring a little more life to the show. Agreed, this is just as hilarious to watch as the whole Alicorn Twilight thing which almost everyone I've seen has enjoyed the episode immensely
ok, since sense drama here, some words of comfort if you may: Equestria girls won't have anything to do with FIM. (much like Top Gear USA has nothing to do with original Top Gear UK) Seaosn 4 (fim) mane 6 will be ponies, not humans. On start of movie mane 6 will be ponies then turn to humans ( and Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler ) and then turn back to ponies (and [sopiler]).
People have made way too big of a deal out of this. It's, what, a movie? Cool, so it'll air once and then it's done. If you like it then that's great! If you don't like it, then practice what you preach and don't watch it.
