Oh man, these past couple of weeks has been pretty hectic. Snowstorms everywhere, the Flu, Twilicorn Drama... Which is also why, in this fabulously, fashionably late Community Post, there is a lot of things to go over! So let's get this started! First of all, the entirety of the staff would like to thank the members of this site for their hard work in constantly offering new ideas and suggestions for the site. Those who have done so know who they are, and we are all very grateful for what you guys are doing! Please keep up the great work! First order of business, as usual: Las Pegasus Productions will be doing another broadcast this Sunday at 10 PM GMT! They will be playing everyone's favourite sandbox game, Garry's Mod! Be sure to tune in! As well as Las Pegasus, Zephyr will be doing his art stream, Sunday at 8PM GMT (3PM EST)! Be sure to join in for Steak and Music as he takes requests after asking a trivia question! On another note, Eight Star's RP will also be happening at 10 PM GMT! This week: White Tail Woods Troubles! When strange gooey blobs begin devouring nearby crops, the adventurers are called upon to invade the caverns of the source and stop it at its center... one way or another. Careful, things could get sticky... and by sticky, I mean dangerous. To those interested, an update to the Twilight Sparkle theme has been introduced! (To change themes, go to the bottom left of your browser on EP and change it to Twilight Sparkle (BETA). You may not be able to access this under certain conditions.) I gotta say, this is now my theme of choice. Looks nice and... purple! Yeah! Of course, we can't forget about SWAG.MOV. Come on. The most epic conclusion to the most epic flash series ever created about pastel coloured ponies. You know you want it. Mrahaha. We regret to inform you all that Rashall has left the moderation team for reasons of his own. As a result, Eight Star is taking over his position as RP Moderator. Man, this list is getting long... okay... what else... Okay, this is new. We have a story from Setzertrancer on how he dealt with a severe case of trolling from the /b/ board on 4Chan. Not many people can withstand a full-on assault from /b/. This is truly an inspirational piece. I highly suggest you read it. (Be sure to check out his new pony video, too!) We have two contests going on! One is one you're probably already familiar with, but if you aren't, here it is! Eight Star's monthly art contest, as well as this contest, run by DaBram. It's an OC Design contest! Lastly, a word from The Ultra Fantabulous High Ruler Matriach Powerhouse Maester Cannonball Awesomesauce Admin, Zephyr. The administrators of this site are setting up a user-based staff review. These reviews can contain both positive and negative criticisms of all staff members. And yes, we do mean all. These reviews should be at least somewhat detailed; stuff like 'This moderator stinks because he banned me' or 'He's mean' isn't going to help anything. The purpose of this review is to help get a better understanding of how a moderator does things wrong, how they need to improve, and overall who is the most capable of having a moderator position. Send your reviews as PM's to Mike or Zephyr; these reviews will only be seen by them and will be kept anonymous to the staff. There is a survey alternative here if you wish to not share your username. Reviews about Zephyr should be sent to Mike, and vice versa. And, of course, the rules still apply. As they always do. Please send in all reviews by the end of the week. And, that's about it for this week. With the season ending, EP likely faces some hard times. I hope we can continue to make this community a better place for everyone. This is Ramza, over and out.
Thank you for your service, Rashall. I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say that you were a great mod, no matter how much you deny it. And congrats to Eight for getting double mod. Now we have three of em :derpe:
Staff review? What a brilliant idea. Unfortunately my time schedule makes it very difficult to enter competitions and attend streams.
Apologies for the site downtime, there was an issue concerning disc space. Myself, and our friendly server technician Ghan will be automatically and directly notified of such issues from now on. Also, a quick schedule change. LPP's show has been re-scheduled for tomorrow/Sunday, same time 10 PM GMT (5 PM EST). To make room for this, Zephyr will be doing his art livestreaming tomorrow a little earlier at 8 PM GMT (3 PM EST).
Testy's back! I knew he loved us too much to leave. Anyway, nice informative community post and my question about the site being down yesterday has been answered by Mike.
The reviews themselves are only seen by Zephyr and myself. The content they contain are nameless if shared with the staff they pertain to. So no, not 100%, but I don't really care who's name is on a review vs what they have to say.
Looks like you got me before the edit. I'll provide a survey-ish alternative for those who want to not give their username. I'll update the OP when I've finished it. Updated
1: Yeah but they never get noticed... 2:I an guess it was a certain someone here... 3:/b/...? Who cares what those retarded apes think.. Also the link is acting weird. 4:If we can't have opinions then this isn't gonna work. 5:WHAT ELSE IS NEW?
1- You've contradicted yourself by quoting a recognition of it. Literally: 3- Obviously he does. You should be more respectful of a situation that he might find sensitive. 4- As much as I would love to point out the unnecessary pessimism regarding the staff, you also seemed to leave out a quote that contradicts this directly as well. Your post was made at 8:07, and this update was made at 7:17. So yeah, you can have your opinions, you can even have them anonymously. Also, please just leave the complaints to the proper section: The Complaint Box. Post it there and we'll be more than happy to deal with any issues you might have with the staff, or you can alternatively use the survey presented to explain our misdeeds.
