I'll still play it, and I agree that it does take getting used to, it certainly handles much differently than previous ones, but there are many aspects I do not like. The map designs aren't very original and aren't very balanced either, though the new map pack has certainly addressed that. I'm quite content with MW3 and MW2 and do much better there. But yes, there's definitely a learning curve to it, it's just frustrating dealing with all the people worried about k/d that they just sit in the corner. I always play the objective and never get help. :derpe:

MW2 was simply amazing in every way, and I did like 3 until they jacked on 10 extra prestiges. I'm a completionist *****, so that took some time. I like Black Ops 2 because it felt like a new experience. Their weapon system is flawless as opposed to having everything reset to 0 with each prestige. I can agree with you on the maps though. They are poop. I didn't get the Revolution dlc though.

Looking good, Tempest! And congrats on 3000.

My shooter experience boils down to single player things and co-op things. Most of all Borderlands. I really just can't stand competitive play in shooters. As you said in another thread, a good part of it is I don't like trash talk. It's not so much that I can't take it, but more like it annoys the ever living hell out of me. Like, why do people feel the need to act superior to strangers over a video game? Then you get the 10-year-olds.

    Halo 4 is absolutely amazing.

90 degree grenade launcher + danger close off the start of a match? Good times...good times.

Oh god, not again. Rainbow Factory, bleh...

I'm thinking more along the lines of javelin glitching and infinite care packages. Ah, the memories.

That's why the mute function has become much more convenient in the later games. I don't ever have my mic in if I'm not in a party, but I find I do have to mute at least 1 person per game on average. Most of the time it's because they insist on blasting their music through their headset, because that's completely necessary...

Hey, you should check out Destiny, by Bungie. It's still in production, but I'm all googly-eyed over it. You may like the idea.

Yeah, I keep my mic and headphones turned off. I just got tired of all that. It makes the game more fun for me. I also tend to brutally attack any players I catch tea-bagging, as it's pretty juvenile and it's way funnier to see them get their just desserts from a Wraith's cannon blast.

Well, I certainly think so. I'm quite happy with all the changes.

Hey, I may not like it, but there's nothing wrong with other people liking it.

You can hate the thing, if you want, but hating a person because they have a casual interest that you don't appreciate is... Well, it's a misplaced effort.

One major change that would make Halo 4 a great game is to get rid of that DMR. I miss the old Halo games where you had to calculate your shots accordingly for long range battles. Now you can spray the DMR and 5 shot someone all the way across Ragnarok. 85% of the time I don't even know where I got shot from.

Yeah the DMR is pretty cheap. Though compared to Reach, it's not as overpowered I don't think. Battle Rifle will always be my favorite though.

Hmmm.... I wouldn't have a problem with that plan if there weren't three different kinds of sniper rifles to contend with (Battling those without a DMR? No thanks!). Plus, the DMR is quite useful for taking out vehicles with your teammates; if everyone concentrates their fire, you can take down a Ghost or Banshee easily.

I recall a conversation I had with a friend. He said that the DMR and the Battle Rifle were broken and they were better than everything else in the game. I had him watch me play through and dominated a few matches using the Assault Rifle to prove him wrong. The real difference is that now in Halo 4, certain weapons are most useful with certain specific playstyles, and if you're determined to use a certain gun, you might have to change your playstyle.

Let's not forget the shotgun you can choose as a secondary weapon.(Boltshot) Something else I forgot to mention was changing the zoom back to what it was and when you get shot it automatically unzooms your scope. That was how to counter snipers in the previous games and it worked out just fine.

With the boltshot, I can see why people criticize it, but it does have to charge and it isn't always the most effective tool. I've still seen players who get ridiculous kills with the plasma pistol.

As for the zoom, I like it the way it is, but maybe it would have been better (more consistent) if they made not getting un-zoomed when shot a Tactical Package (or something like that) awarded to a certain specialization. That would make more sense to me.
