I've been thinking about this and wondering this ever since shortly after I became a Brony on July 09, 2011 but do any of you other than me of course ever regret not giving our favorite show a chance sooner and becoming either a Brony or Pegasister depending on what your gender is of course sooner/ earlier than you did?
Well of course. I tried to stay away from it for more than a year, because it was becomming a plague in my other community. Eventually I cracked, of course... but I'm normally very unhappy with things that are mainstream.
well, since I became a brony in May 2011, which is pretty early, I don't regret that I didn't find it earlier. Even so, I had some tests on college before I became brony and some irl business to do, so it wouldn't be good for something to interfere with it. I started to watch the show as soon as things calmed down irl.
Not really. I started watching in July 2012 so I had 2 seasons of episodes to watch until S3 came out. I think the wait between seasons would have drove me nuts... so we'll see what this one does. Oh well, at least I have 'Double Rainboom' to look forward to. And NASCAR has started so that will help.
I gave FiM a chance the day I came across it, but I do wish I had initially found it earlier. I became a brony during that wait period between the S2 pilots and the rest of S2, so I had ample time to catch up on S1. But it would have been far more enjoyable to have had enjoyed S1 as they came out instead of marathon-ing through them as I did originally. :derpe:
I loved it before I knew what it even was. I never saw anything pony related before seeing my first video on youtube. I'm glad I got into it when I did.(July 23rd, 2011) In my case, skepticism didn't exist. I don't think I could have picked a better time to get into it either. I regret nothing.
Same here. The first pony thing I saw was Equestria Girls on the Hub, which is what made me look it up on Youtube, which in turn made me look up the first episode. I didn't even know what a brony was until 2 weeks later. :derpe:
The show wasn't as widespread when I joined. I watched the episodes, then searched for a community to help explain why I went mad and here I am 2 years later!
I was hooked after watching my first episode (I hadn't missed too many episodes at that point) which was a couple of days after I knew it existed, it wasn't long after I registered here, so no regrets there. What I DO regret is leaving Everypony.com, I feel I missed the chance to become friends with some great people, and now a lot of those people are no longer here.
Easily and highly regret not joining sooner, I knew about the show and fandom LONG before I gave it a chance
I actually knew about the show months before I finally decided to give it a chance but I didn't know about the fandom until a few days after I first watched the show.
I scoffed at it for a long time, despite seeing it frequently on forums. I had no idea what I was missing. Luckily though by the time joined was also when the fandom in my local community finally started having meetup, I only missed the very first one and have been to nearly every one since.
I wish I had started watching b4 season 2 had started but I still think that I came in at an alright time.
