Everyone here has made excellent points. There is too much ignorance in life. *sigh* It does make me a bit sad....ah well, I'll make sure I don't act like those idiots with a computer...
If anything, Obama being in office has made things considerably worse than before; people are jumping on the Limbaugh and Levin bandwagon. Not enough jobs, President is useless etc. I've seen increasing cases of racism ever since Obama got elected, comments racist comments have exceeded my limit. I'm not a fan of Obama. I didn't vote for him, I voted for Huccabee back before he dropped out. Our 15 trillion in dept isn't necessarily helping out either. The economy is so bad that I could barely find a job at GAMESTOP. GAMESTOP. To be honest, I hate what America has become. Some countries are worse, but not being able to find a job because a President that doesn't know what he's doing (I.E. taking golfing trips after an Oil Spill in the gulf, taking 16.6 days to address it.) is running it. I really do hate to say this, but I wish Bush was still here; at least the economy was Tolerable. Still don't appreciate going to war in Iraq; Afghanistan I agree with, however. As to the decision to move to Wales; my Aunt and Uncle live there, so I'm going to go ahead and live near them just in case anything happens. Better safe than sorry, I always say.
Haha i call my girlfriend brownie! But it's meant like dessert, even though she's from middle eastern decent, and rather brown. Don't let it get ya down, brownies are sweet! ;P
The world is very big, and there are too many peoples in it, is bad that there are also so many of them whit that bad ideologies and ignorance about the races, that make me sad......that the people could be so.............bad
Saikyo, I agree with you. I've lived for about twice as long as you, and can actually remember a time when Republicans and Democrats put aside whatever personal or philosophical differences they had, and did *what was good for the country.* Now, too many republicans want Obama to fail, even if it means the destruction of our country, and Obama's not much better, always willing to give the Republicans whatever they want . . . And all politicians are selling out our country for the almighty buck. But to be honest, I'm not sure any other country much better - this seems to be a world-wide infestation going on. I've thought of moving to Canada from time to time, but the last time I looked into it (about four or five years ago), things didn't look much better then. Ah, well, I guess I'll just sit back, and watch the show. I've never seen a country go down the tubes before.
I'm a little late to this. Saikyo, your right America is a great place it's just filled with the worst people. My grandparents, as much as I love them, are racist. I hate racism. Why do you have to judge people based on skin color or religion. I am an atheist, I only have a problem with the religions people who rant on about it constantly, whether that be Chirstinaty or paganism or whatever. Other then that I let them do there own thing. I with you on moving Saikyo, I want to move to Japan or Germany, Anyplace but america. One more thing, kinda unrelated, but could you stop using punk in a negative context. Punks are not all bad, most are against racism.
I went there when I was 13, it was awesome! Everyone I met was really friendly too! Also, so.....much.....sheep...
I have a really bad feeling this thread will turn into a war zone eventually. I had a huge thing typed for all this, but I decided not to, since I can say how I feel about present day America bluntly with a quote. "Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." - Commonly thought to be Ben Franklin or Thomas Jefferson. I wonder if anyone will understand what I mean.
I fully agree with your opinions on the world, and people's ways of thinking! However, don't just judge America like that, stereotypes, racism, and the selfcenteredness of others can be found anywhere. It's just a part of life, an unwelcome part at that. It's not just America- for instance, even today at school, many of my classmates said, they would rather have those in Ecuador uneducated to supply us cheap bananas! Everywhere has this sort of people. Admittedly, America may be stereotypically more so, but that's not true- it's simply that American mannerisms and culture lead to this belief. And, racism? On that point I simply say, racism is wherever more than one race is. Stereotypes, too, in any area. It's a sad fact of life. Asians being communist, though? I lolled so hard on that one. Nopony here call me racist, though, as I'm Chinese...
OK! :derpe: Sweet, I'll be in UCF by then after two years in Valencia Community College. :derpe: Come over here in Orlando whenever we get a whole bunch from the forums here. *Googles.* *Still has no clue.* :derpe: I hope it doesn't turn into one though. It's life, there isn't really anyway to change it, unless...Time Machine. Anyways, same here @ bold, I'm Filipino and I am not a racist. :derpe:
If I see someone I really like or respect being harassed by someone I don't particularly care for, I probably will approach the situation. Depending on how I'm feeling in the situation, I'll probably approach them with a cheery, super-judgmental and probably insulting attitude, which will probably cause a lot of provoking, or I'll take it really seriously and somewhat threatening, which could easily do the same. There's gonna be error in everyone. I only care when it ends affecting people who I care for. I live in an area with a generally mellow atmosphere. People don't really fight, because there's a ridiculously low amount of people. Something I feel obligated to do something about is rare too. And something particularly negative happening to me is even rarer. Anyway, I'm mainly just too selfish to care too much about general stupidity being thwarted, because I'm just too accustomed to it, and it's a situation that mainly just feels hopeless. I can't change how people act, and I'm a bit indifferent to the world and a good majority of the people regardless. :S
