It's not just a rumor, it'll really be that way. In the other news: In Equestria girls film, mane 6 will start as ponies, then turn back to humans, then get back to ponies at end.

So i've been wondering for a while now is Equestria Girls going to be a show or a movie and also when is it supposed to air on t.v.?
from info I have (pretty sure, but don't take me for granted): Equestria Girls will be spin-off show that will start with a movie that will be announced in July ( so expect it around August-September). Take Equestria Girls as pilot for spin-off show that will start afterwards parallel as new show, allong side with season 4 of FiM, that MAY be in late September-early October (or later).

People are going to have a huge hissy online. This is going to be hilarious. Meanwhile, the show will be a hit with FiM's ACTUAL targeted demographic. I wonder how long we have before humans start invading Equestria...
I just wonder how bad this is going to be. Normally I won't complain about concept, after all I am watching a show called "My Little Pony:Friendship Is Magic" and really who thought a show called Teenage Ninja Mutant TURTLES would be a good idea, but that show was great, especially for an 80's cartoon. But we have to face facts, the odds are against THIS being good. Not because the concept, but because of the fact that they are AFRAID to currently release information when the show has been already revealed to the public. What's the point in saving it all for Comic Con, I say just release any and all details necessary at Bronycon, along with a clip to ease our fears.
*Sigh* Has Hasbro flat out come out and said they hate us? No, in fact quite the opposite, they are doing this because they've seen the fan art where the ponies are turned into humans. Would they have even allowed Derpy to be in the show in the first place had they not liked the fanbase. If they hated us so much, she wouldn't have been in the back ground in the season 3 finale
Hasbro hasn't revealed a release date. In fact, all the knowledge we do have is leaked from what I know.
From the comments I've seen, The feelings the vast majority of the bronies have are two things "Anger" and "Intrigued" They are angry because Hasbro actually is completely ignoring the brony fandom from the looks of this show (in my opinion though, it only exist because the bronies liked humanizing the ponies so much) Yet they are intrigued because the team has pulled off pretty boring scenarios by adding the twist I mean, Who the heck thought a royal wedding would turn out to be My Little Pony: Adventures in LV426
Fun Fact: Equestria Girls's writers might be the same as FiM's, the writers of FiM are sworn to confidentiality, and since the show still hasn't been officially announced by Hasbro themselves, but leaked to people at Toy Fair, who then leaked it to the internet. The writers still have to make it look like they have no idea what Equestria Girls is, until the official announcement when the writers of the show will most likely be announced.
