That is interesting how you came about liking the show. For me I had no clue what a brony was or the fact the show MLP had gotten popular with guys. It wasn't until last summer a friend and I were hanging at the mall looking at shirts when I came across one with a rainbow colored pony on it. So I looked over to my friend and asked him wth was this shirt all about and he kinda gave me a run down of what were bronies and the whole mlp:fim fandom etc. My initial reaction was of shock thinking why in the world would guys my age and older like a show meant for little girls... So when I got home later that night I said there has got to be some reason as to why this show has gotten so popular and I decided to check out what was the big deal. So I watched an episode and to my surprise I loved the show since it reminded me of the quality cartoons of the early/late nineties. As for LPS I have never seen an episode for it perhaps I should give it a shot sometime.
I haven't read anything that wasn't a Manga or issue of Game Informer in years so I don't really know.
Rarity is favorite pony I love her British accent and her beautiful singing voice plus other than Pinkie Pie she has some of the best lines and moments. Now for your second question i'd probably freak out and get excited like I do every time I see Princess Luna in a new episode of MLP FiM especially since Zoe Trent is the Rarity of LPS then the Rarity would be doubled LOL.
Favortie cartoon other than My Little Pony is Littlest Pet Shop but my favorite Anime is Dragon Ball Z.
