I'm posting this thread in advance to let all of you know we'll be making some changes to the site in the upcoming days. But in light of April Fools day, i figured i'd have some fun with it. In the poll above you'll see four options. Three of these options are absolutely fake, but the real option will be implemented next friday. It's up to you to guess which one of these changes is actually going to happen. 1) Recently, we've noticed we have been treating some of our rules too harshly. We've decided to show more leniency towards those particular rules (not all of them) and only moderate broken rules once they're reported by the community. Obviously, this will go through a trial phase before we fully implement it. 2) Zephyr is planning to step down as admin. Foxytail will be coming back to fill the spot. 3) Shoutcast and Livestream are getting increasingly more expensive. We've always paid for these things out of our own pockets, and unfortunately, we can't keep this up. Since it would be unfair to force our users to pay for these things, we've decided to completely remove Everypony Radio and focus our attention on the forums instead. Livestream events like LPP and Zephyr's art stream will be posted on the forums. 4) In order to cover the expenses of Shoutcast and Livestream, we've decided that registered users will have to upgrade to a Premium account which will cost $3/month. You will need a Premium account in order to visit the Radio page, post on our forums, and use the Network Chat. Without a Premium account you can only read posts, send private messages, and post visitor messages. Tomorrow i'll be announcing which option is real and which ones are fake.
Woah, the fourth one scared me. The only bad thing about maybe implementing a "pay to play" system is the group of people not having the recourses to pay those 3 dollars. And if i were looking for a site like everypony.com, i would indeed choose one that's free over one I'd have to pay for. On the other side, I've been a fan of donating/donator ranks, as you can choose to pay, or not. Lets say, the more you donate, the greener your nick turns? (@ my phone)
I'm not sure how keen everybody on the forum will be on the forth one. As Esy said above, people don't simply have the resources to pay for the membership and people would frankly find another site like EP that's free rather than one you pay for. I honestly don't like the fact that the forum could become Pay to Play. Even through i understand it's concept and why people should do it , i absolutely hate the idea of going out of your way for something that after a while you would never use/play again. Like how almost everything in Adventure Quest Worlds is membership and a one year membership is $50 AUS. I dont want to do this at all, i honestly dont.... And the radio. Since i have never been on it, there was what....three listeners at a time on a good day and one on every other day. So i don't really know how to respond to it being removed. I beg you, please dont make this a pay to play forum. You will make Crim cry...

I think everyone here is forgetting that one of these changes is actually happening. One of the impossible ones in which is something we've already said we'd never do. Ever. Sooooo get crackin'!
